All right...Dallas has never been an NBA threat, so it's easy to feel sorry for them. I really started to like this Mark Cuban guy when he started going after Vescey, but he' really shooting himself in the foot right now.

He prematurely spouted off about a possible deal with Denver involving Robert Pack, forward John 'Hot Rod' Williams and center Sean Rooks to Denver for forwards Chris Gatling and Popeye Jones and a second-round pick. Denver is already claiming this is BS. Just a few days later, the Star Telegram is saying that Cuban is "drooling" of the possiblity of trading Shawn Bradley , Robert Pack and John 'Hot Rod' Williams for Dikembe Mutombo.

The Mavs organization is obviously not very adept at keeping their trades (real or imagined) a secret. This is gonna come back and bite them on the ass. Nobody is going to want to deal with them because it upsets players to have their names brought up in a trade scenario that never goes through.

This boy has a lot to learn.

I'm happy to see that the Mavs have an owner who is most concerned with winning. He and the new management in Vancouver should make the league that much more competitive. Unfortunately, in his enthusiasm for his team, I think he is impeding their progress. He is not sufficiently knowledgeable or savvy to be so hands-on about the running of the team. It's great for them that he is enthused and that he's willing to pay for the personnel to win, but he needs to learn to let the professionals do their jobs.

I saw him on The Last Word the other night, and he seems to have some pretty good ideas about the game. Rome was making fun of him for having so many assistant coaches, but Cuban has a great reason. If you have one coach for every one or two guys, then the number 8-12 guys, who normally don't develop, like Jermaine O'Neal, will have someone to work one-on-one with them.

    I like the guy.

I hear that Bradley needs one COUCH to himself but pack, nash and strickland can all work with one couch. The couch is big enough for those 3. Finleys couch is soo nice, it was really hard getting the couch. [IMG]
