All right here you go: there is a 50% chance he will be nothing in the NBA and be on a plane to Greece within a few years, and a 10% chance he'll be an all star. So I will say that your prediction of all star status for him is totally off base, in typically DaDakota-ish way: "I HAVE SEEN THE FUTURE OF THE NBA, AND ITS NAME IS DAN LANGHI" so I guess you can keep the "CAN OF I TOLD YA SO" in the closet once again....

Well go vote then tough guy......that is not a complete answer.

What do YOU THINK he will become....not a percentage, but what you think.

And, I have been wrong a few times...but right far more often......I am just not afraid of going on record.

And when proven wrong, I will admit it.

    Will you?

Unfortunatley there's no option in your crappy poll for "Out of the NBA in a few years", so I can't vote........

    Listen, Dadakota.

    Listen good.

    Listen seriously.

    Are you listening now?

Do I need to jingle some keys in front of your face to get your attention?

    OK, how about now?

    Now? OK goood......

I'm not making predictions about him. That's not the point.

I don't know what might happen. I am not Kreskin. I thought the Rockets would get blown away once Yao went down but was happily wrong about that.

Anyway, I do't know what he will become.

He might get bitten by a radioactive spider and invent flubber and become the second coming of MJ. He might get leprosy and infect the whole team. He might have a turkey sandwich for lunch. I don't know.

However if you're asking me whether or not he can help this team RIGHT NOW as a PG - the answer is almost certainly not, based on what we've seen so far, and based ont he judgment of coach JVG, who sees him and knows, oh, let's be conservative and say 1000 times more about Spanoulis and NBA basketball than you or I do, and feels the same way.

Furthermore, your rationale for why he can is based on complete FANTASY. it is fallacious. LIke I have said before, you might even be right - but for the wrong reasons related to infatuation, which is what I take issue with.

    THE END

    You wuss !!!!

Again half an argument......and with personal insults thrown in throughout your post.

    Wow - just wow.....

Some people are risk takers and born leaders....others are happy to just sit at the bottom and throw stones.

Don't throw too many Sam, you might toss out your arm.

or, for once in your life you could step up and be a man and let others hear what you think?

There are a lot of people that would like to know.....

Are you going to keep cowering or are you going to be a man?

Since the last post was the end, maybe a new man can come out and the next one can be "The Beginnng"

    Good luck !

I listened, and it said you took issue with my alleged infatuation, and were not going to predict anything and had some humorous antidotes about Kreskin etc.

But, you still failed to answer the question of what "YOU THINK" he will develop into.

You have given percentages, talked about a turkey sandwich and continued to call people names but what you haven't done......is answer the question.

What are you afraid of? Being wrong? Come on step up and tell others what you think of the guy and why.....is that so hard to do?

If you think he sucks...then say it......you clearly think he sucks now....but do you think he will always suck?

Barring significant improvement, given the skills he has shown thus far or lack thereof, most likely he will be a marginal NBA player, if at all, but I might be wrong.

The main focus of my discussion is that there is no reason to believe that him playng now helps the rockets, given that he has done nothing but hurt them with poor play this year.

Was that so hard for you to discern?

You have made that point ad nauseum, and it is something that I somewhat agree with...

As I have said before the only difference is that I think the guy needs some on court time to develop and the sooner he gets on court the sooner he will develop.

But, I do thank you for answering the question honestly.....and without name calling.

man if you are calling VSpan and anyother non American player scrubs, then you have not really been watching basketball in the last 10 years seeing what Parker, Stojakovic, Ginobli, Hornacek, Kirilink, +++++++++ have been doing to the league
Jeff Hornacek is european? The Guy on the Jazz who constanly wipes referee mayonaise off his face at the foul line? News to me and every other red blooded american!

Back to the topic at hand-----------

But seriously, It would be nice to cut down on tracys minutues! Do i think Spanoulis and Novak have earned more minutes with the oppurtunity they have had? No!

I do trust JVG's decision and in his evaluations of our players. He is the one who sees them in practice everyday and knows way more about the game than all of the bbs.

But at the same time it is hard to fathom why they are riding pine in garbage time situations when we are blowing teams out for surefire wins. I honestly do not understand why we keep Mcgrady,Howard, Mutombo,Battier and Raefer on the floor an extra 4-6 minutes when we clearly have the game in the bag. We are going to need these guys for our stretch run and i honestly dont want to risk hurting our big guns.

    Three Recent Examples

Lakers Jan 10th we win by +25, (Noval 5:30, Span 1:30)

Atlanta dec 29th we win by +26 (Novak 4:30, Span 4:00,)

Nets Dec 27th, we win by +25 (Novak 1:30, Span 1:30)

In the future i would like to see our bench emptied in garbage time!

Throw out a mixture of Hayes,Novak, Snyder,Spanoulis,Lucas and Wells for conditioning purposes.

This could only help us in the long run and would still ensure our standing in the win now mode.

I honestly think jeff is doing a great job this season and i love the attitude he brings to our team. But i do think that he can do a better job in his garbage time minutes.

i understand the frustration about our team, but really, why all the JVG hate? WHO ELSE DO YOU THINK CAN LEAD THE ROCKETS?

phil jackson isn't available guys... and even his antics are wearing on me. he talks more ****

we have plenty of offense on this team. defense is where the team really takes on the coach's identity. the game slows down in the playoffs and really becomes a possesion oriented game. our philosophy is fine. and JVG is one of the best coaches in the league.

i am tired of hearing how he "can't" develop younger players. yao has been pretty "young" in the NBA. he is excelling. he has improved every year. and who else did you really want him to develop, boki?

did it ever occur to you JVG haters that maybe, just maybe, our players don't have the heart to WIN? and developing the "will" to win isn't done overnight if you're phil jackson or jerry sloan or whoever...

Seems to me, the Rockets previous head coach took over a mediocre team that had just been swept out of the first round, and had them in a seven game WC semis series after one full season, and an NBA "Heart of a Champion" victory after two.

The only thing I would do differently than JVG is put Novak & V-Span in the NBDL to get PT. They need PT to develope. They've had their oppertunities to prove they are ready to play at this level and they've been dissappointing. At this point they don't deserve rotation PT.

This isn't saying they won't develope into solid NBA players. I personnally think they will, just not this season.
