ah, but we all know that the rockets are NOT going to trade tmac. unless you're getting kobe or someone of that caliber, there is no way you trade tracy mcgrady

Perhaps.....but I think on the Rockets he would be sweet out there at the 3 point line.

As I read this thread, I kept the same question. The Nets are in good shape for a playoff spot. Why give up a 1st round draft pick and swap injury plagued players? Granted TMac is more talented, but his injury is more serious also.

Not just this, the Nets would NEVER do that. What benefit do they have. By the way, RJ is SUPER OVERRATED. He is a talented player but wouldn't be 1/2 as good w/out kidd setting him up and getting him perfect shots.

Are ya'll kidding? The Nets would take this deal in a second, and laugh in our faces the next!

wow, things must be going bad in rocket-land for us to have sunk to this level...

RJ??? RJ isn't even an all-star (consistently).

If I *HAD* to do a trade, I'd say something like a 3way with NJ and Detroit -

We give Tmac, Juwan for Billups+Vince Carter...
Detroit gives Billups, Sheed, Nazr for Tmac+Jason Collins
NJ gives VC and Jason Collins for Sheed, Nazr.

Then try to re-sign billups and VC.

But even then, I don't like it. Our team chemistry is too good right now, bringing in a slacker like VC might ruin it.

We do not want RJ, without a great creator like Kidd, both VC and RJ would be nothing.

NewYork is the right team for rockets to make trade with, they have too many talents, kind of crowded. And VG has good connections there.

Any updates about Blake? Antony will be back soon, i do not think Blake wants to play 10 minutes as bentch.

I would only trade T-Mac if I was guaranteed a top 5 pick in this year's draft and at least another established player that would fill in one of our voids at the PG / PF position.

Otherwise, why would we be looking to get worse?

The reason is they are rich. They will be richer when they move to NY. They love to pay luxury tax, its a signature of wealth. :D :D

The fact is theres no trade between NJ and Houston. There's nothing they want from TMac.

Have you ever botherd looking at our record with tracy and without him?. the guy makes this team win. without him, were going nowhere fast. even if yao was going to be there. yao is nowhere near the leader tracy is.

Then nets wouldnt do it?. tracy and Kidd would dominate the east and probaly with a solid frontcourt player, they could very well win a championship. are you out of you're mind?

No, it's not the worst. But close. Very close.

    jmwilliamson nailed it:

    No. Two reasons:

    1. Richard Jefferson isn't exactly the most durable player in the league himself.

    2. I'm not convinced that RJ would be anywhere near as effective without Jason Kidd.
