whenever you go someplace new, what do you try to collect to remind you that you were there? keychains, snowglobes, picture frames, these are the usual stuff you see everywhere. if you have these, that's cool. but anyone have anything peculiar they always look for?
Christmas ornaments. Of course, you only pull them out once a year, but it sure makes for some awesome nostalgia when your trimming that tree. Of course, if you don't celebrate Christmas, it probably won't work for you.
Well, b/f the divorce, I had a huge collection of Hard Rock hurricane glasses from around the world...Now I only have two...She claims she doesn't know what happened, but I'm sure she sold them in a garage sale...I also collected shot glasses and still have them... I still collect matches at rest. and snow globes...In Vegas, i keep a chip and get cards and dice... Yes, at hotels, I usually take the soap and shampoo...I have a huge ziplock bag full of this stuff...
used to get license plates (the souvenir kind).. sometimes I still do if I see em, but you don't find em internationally all that much. So I've moved on to shot glasses..
A friend of mine gets one of those professional photography books of the local surroundings wherever he goes.
I usually visit the campus of the local university where ever I go. I get a university mascot t-shirt though.
Anytime my wife and I go someplace together, I get a little tiki statue. I have one from Mexico, Hawaii, China, and India.
