NO ONE runs zone against Dallas. NOBODY!! Both Dallas and Phoenix are teams you NEVER run a zone against. They are the ultimate zone busting team. They would absolutely destroy a zone.

Our problems tonight had ZERO to do with zone.

Our perimeter defense was poor because Dallas created significant mismatches for us (Mutumbo on George).

We were KILLED on the boards, particularly the offensive boards.

Outside of McGrady, we had no one that could score. They are just MUCH deeper than we are and their bench destroyed ours.

I'm sick of hearing about Bonzi !!!!!!! As far as I am concerned he isn't even a part of this Rockets team...He has done nothing other than eat doughnuts, go to strip bars, and claim he is injured....Pleas no more " we need Bonzi " threads....

Tmac will be killed again, if we use him like this.

Just terrible that tmac goes off for 40+ and the rockets role players suddenly decide to blow chunks.

But take heart rockets fans, we were up 12 in the middle of the third without Yao, snyder or bonzi. Yao alone would be enought to crush these losers.

tmac is done for the night.

his scoring masked the bad game that the rockets were playing. poor defense, poor rebouding, no offense.

Is this surprising to anyone? They are the best team in the NBA and we are without one of our two best players playing them on the road. It is a testament to the greatness of TMac that we were even close in this game.

Jeff, I completely DISAGREE....Miami used it to get back in the game against Phoenix....

You CAN use a zone......it is a different look it tosses out a different rythmn....

    Whatever.....

JVG finally puts in Snyder, after Luther plays horrible, and our defense and rebounding have struggled bigtime. We need to stop playing these little guys like Head and Alston agianst big atheltic teams like Dallas.

LOL, for real. the mavs had guys bombing from all over and battier and head were off after long streaks of being on. you're going to lose in dallas when that happens.

JVG is stuborn. That is why is not a great coach. If he will be more flexible he will be a lot more valuable to the team.

Everyone on the roster but Mutombo rebounded the ball poorly. That was the only difference.

We were whooping them on 3pt% and FTA entering the 4th. We just had no energy. I wonder why JVG didn't use Snyder and/or Wells.
