Highly doubtful considering that he has no money, no job, and other kids that he can't support.

Britney hasn't exactly distinguished herself either. Odds are against him, but I'm not counting out my boy, K-Fed.

Au contraire, Sammy. Federline has a wonderful rap career to fall back on. Did you catch his set at Webster Hall a few months ago? There were maybe at least a 100 people there.

This is seriously one of my sorest subjects, the ideologies that persist with modern day marriage. Along with the preferential treatment given to women in the court of law.

Keeping it short as possible, in my opinion:

    - Women in this current day do not have an innate
natural' innocence, or "fragile psyche" when it comes to marriage. They know full well the benefits and security marriage can offer them. Not just the gold diggers, most all of them. Gotta listen to Eddie Murphey and Kanye West what they're saying, they gotta be taken SERIOUSLY. its WAR :p
Actually, not saying women are cruel and evil about it. Really its more smart looking out for themselves if anything. Saying that they know they got a softer landing pad if the loving marriage doesnt work out and they know it from the get.
    (Example: Paul McCartney)

    - Some women want to say marriage is an institution created by men primarily to create a sense of 'ownership' over the female partner. Marriage doesn't have NEAAAAAAR the benefit to men as it does women. Hardly ever is there the role reversal where women choose to be the primary dependable wage earner and happily and contently provide for the household (usually when that happens they'll have some condemnation toward the man).

Some people like me try to take the feminist approach to heart I guess. That women are "equal" and playing field is even. Which in real life practice it is really, almost as true to a joke as can be. To me this LAWYER ex wife of Strahan's is more the norm instead of the extreme.

I don't really have any pity on this topic.

    It is what it is.

Are there any big cases about a rich woman getting bent over by a man in the divorce game? Maybe Oprah is showing how smart she is by never getting married.

Sign a pre-nup and still get f*cked...ridiculous...What a crappy lawyer...

Divorce sux, and I'm not just talking about the feelings, but monetarily as well...If you have kids, and you divorce, you can pretty much kiss your money good bye...

If you live in Texas, you live in a community property state meaning everything is split down the middle anyway.

I do find it pretty fascinating that, for guys who CLEARLY lust after women constantly, you really don't like them that much and have really low opinions of them in general. Kinda sad really.

It doesn't matter where you get married, it matters where you get divorced.

in all honesty it's Strahan's fault. The wife didn't ask for more than the agreed amount. Strahan should fire his lawyer if anything. Prenups are designed to give less than 50% since most courts will wind up giving half to a spouse (if there is no adultery involved) anyway. The prenup was pretty useless. Plus the fact that the pre-up also entitles the wife to 20% of his income form hereon is just stupid and bad preparation on the lawyer's part.

Actually both matter, because in you get married in texas and move to a non-CP state you can still file you divorce papers in Texas and get half. Not to mention the judge will take into accout where you got married in the proceedings and might give you more money.

That isn't true at all. You can only have ONE court that has jurisdiction. If your residence is outside of Texas, that is where you would file. It doesn't matter where you got married. A judge in a different state is not going to give two ****s about you getting married in Texas.
