    Guys, my Uncle is organizing this (or maybe helping organize..I can't remember the details anymore) ;) But I thought it'd be cool for some of the board...got his permission to post it. Here ya go!



    A lot of details are below, and you should read them. But the basic info for the lazy ones..

    What: Listen to Oliver Luck, President & GM of the Dynamo speak on Sports & Entrepreneurship and the Founding of the Houston Dynamo.

    "Sports and Entrepreneurship and the Founding of the Houston Dynamo"

    Come join TIE for a special event with Oliver Luck, President and General Manager of the 2006 Major League Soccer (MLS) Cup Champions Houston Dynamo. The team is coming off not only an inaugural season but a championship as well. Having conquered the Western Conference Title and the MLS Cup Championship, the Dynamo organization has raised the bar for Houston's professional sports industry.

    Mr. Luck will be speaking on "Sports and Entrepreneurship and the Founding of the Houston Dynamo". In addition, he will also share his experience as the President/CEO of NFL Europe which he helped start-up. Mr. Luck will also discuss how companies can do business with the Houston Dynamo and the MLS.

    Oliver Luck comes from an extensive sports background. His prior positions include the following:
    -CEO, Harris County Houston Sports Authority (HCHSA)
    -Led financing, construction, and management oversight of the three large sports and entertainment venues in Houston: Minute Maid Park, home of the
    Houston Astros; Reliant Stadium, home of the Houston Texans and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo; and Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets, Comets, and Aeros
    -VP, Business Development, National Football League (NFL)
    -President & CEO, NFL Europe
    -Led the start-up of NFL Europe
    -Quarterback, Houston Oilers
    -Quarterback, West Virginia University

    Mr. Luck has a J.D. from the University of Texas, a B.A. from West Virginia University and was recently elected to the Academic All-American Hall of Fame.

    If I was in Houston, I would be there. Mr. Luck is probably the best team president (along with Tal Smith) in Houston. I got a chance to email him directly through the whole team name fiasco. He answered my emails directly, quickly, and as if he was a fan, too. This was all during their infancy when I'm sure he did not have time to be discussing a difficult matter with a fan that didn't even live in Houston.
