Hey guys, I know this subject has probably been done to death already but I tried the search feature and all I got were a bunch of game threads

I finally got enought broadband speed to watch live streaming rockets games, I have heard of PPlive and PPstream as well as others.

Which is the best program to use to watch streaming live Rockets games?
What websites to I need to go to?
Are there any streams in English and not just Chinese?

As you can see Im really r****ded when it comes to this kind of info so if you could explain in laments terms it would be helpful. Thanks again guys.

I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH THE ROCKETS TONIGHT ON MY COMPUTER!!!!

There is a website that lists all of the rockets games and which p2p programs are broadcasting them on which channels. It is very useful. Unfortunately, I don't have the bookmark here at work. Maybe someone else knows what I'm talking about and can post the link.

Man that was great! Now how do I choose between which is better: PPstream, Sopcast, TVants etc.

Does anyone have experience with any of these and would recommend one over the other?

I have downloaded and used sopcast. I only use it for non-rox NBA games since I live in Houston, but it works great, although it is sometimes on like a 5-10 min delay from the real game.

never used tvants, but PPstream, and Sopcast ran about the same for me... the video looked like a youtube vid.

not great, but its better than nothing.

To be safe I would download multiple p2p programs, including all the ones you have listed. Sometimes one works when another won't.

I usually start with Sopcast and then if it's not working I work my way through the other programs.

So...SHTV and Guandong are the Sopcast channels the game is on tonight. Is that what they're listed under in the program? Also, does anyone know if they're in Chinese/English?

sopcast is the best because it covers far more NBA games than the others and it has very consistent quality. My backup, TVU Player, is far inferior. PPMate is a complete waste of time.

The bottom line is sopcast will have more Rockets games than any others. When sopcast doesn't show the Rockets, good luck.

I use nba broadband, which is excellent. You need league pass to access it, but my friend gave me his account since it seems you can have multiple access of the same account at one time. So if you can find anyone with league pass willing to give/setup an nba broadband account, you'd be set. Its not hard to setup, all you need is your account number from your cable company and all you have to do is enter it in once. Maybe you can get a member to help you out with that.
