Sadly...the owners do have to amuse people with silly crap to keep attention deficit people busy. I'm not arguing that. It's stupid and annoying to some degree but it is what it is.

You're wrong buddy. Chanting at a fan calling them a sore loser is not acceptable and is only good fun to the morons doing the chanting. The object throwing would have most likely not have occcured had the Rowdies let the incident between the dude in a bear suit and the angry woman go.

Could it be that they see I'm doing a pretty good job of setting you guys straight? There are others who have spoken out against being overzealous and or obnoxious at a sporting event. Just because you are at a game, it does not relieve you of having some common courtesy to those around you.

ill skillz, all you have as proof that what the rowdies did is unacceptable is your opinion. and your opinion is just that: an opinion. when all you can say is "i said it in my first post" as reinforcement for your claims, then we can all be sure that your claims arent very tangible at all.

And all you can to to prove what you think is accepatable is your opinion. So what? I can't help it if you guys don't possess common sense.

which again comes down to you disagreeing with the accepted norms

The object throwing also wouldn't have happened had the lady laughed when silly string got on her, and gave the bear a jocular angry look or something.

Common courtesy yes, and common sense of what the accepted norms are at sports arenas.

Little miss manners is going to teach those big bad rowdies a lesson about what's socially acceptable and not! HAHAHA

Here's a hint Ill-skillz: this is nothing. Chanting at other fans is tame. If you want to start 'improving the world one fan at a time' I suggest you try to go lecture some Euro or Latin soccer fans.

I suppose the irony of all this is wasted on you. You say no one should "lay into some hard" because they are wearing a different jersey...aren't you doing the same thing to those who's opinion differs from yours? I mean, you've gone way beyond just making arguments here, you've made ad hominem remarks throughout this whole discussion, thus showing that you are pretty much guilty of the very thing you're complainaing of. Perhaps irony is the wrong word...maybe I'm looking for hypocrisy

Ill-Skilz what the hell is your problem? Are you a rockets fan or not? Did you not like the outcome of the game? Do you not remember what a horrible year the Rockets had last year? Do you remember how quiet the crowd was last year? These guys(Red Rowdies) that you are calling immature and overgrown kids take this seriously. They know what it feels like to win a championship and how the city of Houston came together as one after we won TWO championships. The Houston Rockets need their enthusiam and their hearts to win. I know the lame asses in the front row aren't going to cheer like that. I live in Orlando and watch every game on NBALP and it makes me proud to watch those guys( Red Rowdies) do what they do. It sounds like a damn college game when in HD Dolby 5.0.
Rowdies I back you 100% and if I were there I'd of done the same thing. She should have never went off on Clucth in front of 1000's of Houston fans. Her husband should have gotten her the hell out of there.

RED ROWDIES MAKE THE COMPAQ CENTER AN EXCITING PLACE TO WATCH BASKETBALL!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

apparently, its you who doesnt have any common sense. you are the only one calling foul on the rowdies. you are the only one who cant seem to accept the fact that when you are an opposing fan, you will get opposing fan treatment. duh. the rowdies werent told not to heckle the opposing fans, but to do it in a way that profanity and ill gestures are absent. they did that, they were within the bounds that were set by the officials. so, where's the foul? we dont have common sense? yeah right.

I think it's funny you call it "COMMON" sense. ...and the "COMMON" concensus here is that what we did is fine. You hold the uncommon opinion. :p

I think as long as you guys didnt throw punches... swear at the lady, stick your fingers up at her... call her things like fat or ugly...

saying sore loser... to someone is very tame... in my opinion...

just knowing you had the Laker fans swearing at you and sticking a finger at you....

tells me you guys are doing a great job... and keeping it clean while at it...

anyways lets not go too hard on Skillz...there will always be a differing opinion

im sure there are 30% of you guys who think that you are winning the war in Iraq right now..

No, it comes down to you erroneously trying to justify stupid behavior. I'm sure the Piston fans who fought with the Pacers thought there behavior was the accepted norm.

The league does not want incidents in the stands. Whether you are smart enough to figure it out or not, the lady would have not have flipped off the crowd if the crowd had minded it's own business.

I'm glad you said "also" because that's a step toward admitting you're talking out your ass on this.

And common sense should tell you buying a ticket to a sporting event is not a license to being an ass.

You can't stand there and tell yourself it's ok for those idiots to chant sore loser and no telling what else at some woman because she had an incident with a dude in a bear suit.

We're in a forum discussing viewpoints regarding the Rockets. I responded to the original poster to let him know I totally disagreed with his view of a pretty stupid incident. I've been responding to replies to my post. Keep your dumbass analogy to yourself or at least come up with one that applies.

I'm sure they knew it wasn't. Would they have done that had a police officer or arena security been standing right there? There is no way.

Would the Rowdies, other fans, and Clutch still acted the same way under those conditions? Of course because one incident was not acceptable and the other was.
The league doesn't want incidents in the stand and shouldn't expect any unless people over react like this lady did.

Yes, everything they did was within the realm of common sense at an NBA Arena.

I'm glad the Rowdies are there doing what they do. I would do the same if I was there. I would have expected razzing if I had worn an opponents jersey. I understand what is acceptable in such places..

Because I'm a Rockets fan who think the Rowdies went overboard, that makes me a non-fan. Quit being a sheep.

The Rowdies are not the reason we are winning. We have a better team is why we are winning. They add enthusiasm to the arena, yes but I hardly think they play a part in the outcome of the game.

A little too seriously, I'd say.

It's not like the guy's view they are blocking doesn't know the same damn thing....

Like you said before.... We ave 2 championships and I don't recall the Red Rowdies being the deciding factor back then.

And we all know how college kids make never go overboard. LMAO

Do you know how sad it sounds that you'd be that fired up over a woman getting mad at a dude in a bear suit.

Red Rowdies. Have fun but use some damn common sense.

Not half as sad as someone taking the lady's side after she yelled at the bear for something completely harmless.

Who gives a crap if I'm the only one? None of you have made a decent argument that going after a patron they way they did is acceptable.

As a result of their taunting... obscene gestures were made and an object was thrown. Those are things management does not want. They were involved in those incidents whether you like it or not. So use your head for something besides a hat rack.

Learn to read and I stop kicking your ass in this debate. I said the lady was wrong just that it was none of the Rowdies business what was going on with the lady.

I would love to give this ILL guy a break but he's a dumbass. How can you post against something that most people see reasonable behavior? You're bringing up the Pistons game as if there was a fight in the stands? there wasn't and you should be glad this lady didn't get her ass kicked by one of those bad ass Mexican chics that LOVE the ROX.
ILL- wear a white Tshirt to next home game that says ILL-SKILLS on it. I'm sure you'll get alot of love!!
