Hopefully Dream returns within the next couple of weeks from hernia surgery. Now that Barkley isn't a part of the rotation anymore, I wonder what Dream's mindset will be upon returning:

    a) "This is Stevie's team now. I'm too old
    for this ***t"

    b) "This is my team! Now's my chance
to prove to the world that I'm still a
    champion"

I'm sure Dream critics will have a good 'ol time with this next statement, but here goes anyway: I really believe that our fate this season depends greatly on how Dream returns from injury. If his mindset is a), then lotto here we come (at which point I would say TRADE HIM). If it is b), then get ready for a fantastic journey because the playoffs and maybe even the Finals are still not out of reach. Hey, we've done it with much less talent before.

Oh well, I am very much looking forward to his return and how we fare with him back in the lineup.

I agree with everything except trading Dream. Regardless of his attitude, he's still one of the best centers in the league. I think he can still help this team with veteran leaderhip and experience. Besides, he said he would retire before being traded, so its better to keep him than trade him and get nothing in return. And if he retired, his salary would still count against the cap.

Trading Olajuwon would do nothing for the Rockets.

BTW, that article we all saw with his interview lit a fire under my ass...Too bad I don't play basketball. I certainly hope he gets as fired up as I will be upon his return.

Actually I agree with that Lynus, but I would be VERY angry with him if he returns with the rather passive attitude that he left with. Now's his chance to shut all of the critics the hell up. I hope returns a madman.

If he can hit 50% of his shots, then he needs to take 18 shots a game. If he's healthy, there's no reason why he can't hit half his attempts like he did last year. The only problem last year was he didn't take enough shots. I see no problem cutting into other players attempts when they are hovering around 40%. Cato may average 50%+, but it's not from his post-up moves.

Again, the qualifiers being "if he is healthy" and "if he can hit 50%".

If Akeem (for old time sakes) returns w/the same intensity he had when he used to use that previously stated name... Watch out NBA because the Rox will make some noise !

    Trade him ?

    NEVER !

You guys are right. I'm still biting my tongue for those comments. I don't know what got into me...maybe a little frustration because of our luck of late.
