The franchise moved to Houston for the 1971-72 season. No its not the birthday of the the houston rockets coming to town, BUT its a relevant date. happy 40th to the franchise! we're as old as deke!

Well, if anyone has been to a Rockets game this year, they do a little tid bit before the game with a Rockets 40 year anniversary logo on the scoreboard and then they show highlights from the San Diego years till now.
Rockets birthday Hi, guys, I don't know if its ok to post this, but I just saw a news on 163 sports and it said that 11 Nov is Rocktets' 40 years old birthday. (It was founded on 11 Nov 1967, right ?) I didn't see anything about it etiher on this forum or Rockets.com If this post against some rules or some one has already posted then Im sorry just lock it
The Rocket was founded on January 11, 1967 in San Diego. It came to Houston in season 1971-1972. Happy birthday, Houston Rocket! You brought me so many exciting days and you will give us more! GOOO, ROCKETS! BRING US MORE AND MORE CHAMPIONS!!
