Obviously it was a mistake. And now this thread is in my search. So annoying. Even more annoying then your weak come back.

Seriously, the only thing more sad then other's making excuses about their teams loss is having the winners complain about the losers whining.

    I'm done here. Later!

And you're just full of ****

Yeah, New York and L.A. are awesome cities. I love how people always rip on great cities to cover up the inadequecies they have about their own. Houston ain't exactly a mecca of culture and comfort.

It's just unclassy to obsess about what other cities think when of course they will make excuses. In their minds they are better - they beat us twice, and they still think they are better. They don't realize that things might be changing - yet.

I was born and raised in Houston but have lived in NYC and love it. This has less to do with obsessing about what other cities think of Houston, and a lot more to do with bad journalism. Those articles were full of excuses and I don't see the problem with calling that out. The point of the journalist is to remain objective and critique the team he's covering. The LATimes reporter even took a shot at the freaking mascot, calling him a "rodent-bear" combination.

Absolutely. I was born in Houston and lived their most of my life, I lived in NY for almost 10 years, and no I live LA.

I guess I am all about loser cities. :D

There is nothing wrong with pointing out piss-poor articles when they appear.

I find it very funny that in one those moronic articles, the writer had mentioned: Yao is out with a minor leg fracture.......HA,HA,HA.... he made it sound like Yao's injury was no big deal, what a tard!

Agreed. Especially in it's the case with LA, who seem to live on cloud nine where their team can do no wrong.

I too lived in Houston and now reside in the lovely city of New York and reading articles here I actually think that there's no city that rips its own players and teams for playing badly more harshly than New York papers do.

With that said, it's just nicer to see self-criticism and analyses of one's own faults before ripping the opposing teams mascot.

You don't think some of our sports writers do the same? Or other cities do that? Even to their own? I mean, I just think people are taking this stuff way too seriously. If it's bad journalism, it's not worth talking about...the guy will probably lose his job.

And sports journalism is different from other types. You have a bit more leeway.

I don't know...let them write whatever they want. It's just one guy.

Well L.A. fans have been treated well when it comes to winning championships in Basketball. So they are a bit spoiled. But I don't think we need to rip on an entire city just because of one article.

It's one thing to be a sore loser, but to be a sore winner is even worse.
