Webber doesn't want to come here. His list is down to Miami, Detroit, San Antonio, Dallas, and LA. Lets pray he goes to Miami or Detroit.

Now Steve Francis? Just set up a meeting between him and JVG, and I think we may have a shot, assuming he doesn't want to go to the 76ers.

What championship(s) has a team with Chris Webber won?

Big Ten Conference Championship? No (0-2)
NCAA? No (0-2 in NCAA Championship game)
Division title while playing with Golden State? No (0 in 1 season)
Division title while playing with Washington? No (0 in 4 seasons)
Division title while playing with Sacramento? Yes (2 in 7 seasons)
Division title while playing with Philadelphia? No (0 in 1 season)
NBA Conference Finals? 1 with Sacramento (lost to LAL)
    NBA Finals? No appearances
    NBA Championship? No appearances

Several of the Sacramento Kings teams were loaded with talented players, so he doesn't have the same excuse for failing to lead his teams deep into the playoffs as Kevin Garnett has had.

Webber no. Stevie ? yes . I think he can still be effective as long as he understands his role.

I always thought the same about Cassell and Horry..

    Per Teetime:

    Exactly.

If Cato could be had for the Vet minimum - He could help, but I do not know who to bump for a roster spot.

Steve is a no - brainer. We sign him.Webber got bought out, hopefully today we hear about Stve Francis...Steve would play his heart out here--he always did.

Puh-leese. Neither of these guys are going to take a 10-day. First of all, they were both superstars in their own right at a time, and haven't fallen as far as say, Kemp. They have pride, my man. Secondly, several other teams are going to offer at LEAST minimum contracts.

Yes, I live in NY now, and I watched Knicks game quiet often.
Steve is a role player now.. He averages only attempt about 10 shots per game. He will bring in some impact in our PG position. We should get him back to and bench Alston...

I'm not talking about trade. I'm saying we could drop Snyder or Bonzi for roster room. Francis was a legitimate superstar less than four years ago, and he's not exactly old. I just think there's little reason we should pass up on this opportunity if the Knicks do the buyout.

I want SF back, but to drop Snyder to do so is not a wise more. we got to consider our height on SG and SF position too.

Stop for a moment and ask yourself who is the poorest player on the team and who has little potential to get better--- only one name comes to mind Padgett!

i love stevie franchise. if he were to know his role, i think he could be one of the best point guards in the league. the guy is soooo talented and he loves the city of houston.

i'm down to bring him back if he knows his role and if we get him for a decent price. bench raef.

    thank U

David Aldridge of TNT reports that there is a 97-98% chance that Chris Webber will sign with the Pistons.

Hay Guys, C.Webber is heading HOUSTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[TNT], he said several things he wants,
    1), team for champion.
2), team with good locker room env.
3), team with a LOT of GREAT players.
    4), he wants starts.
5), he wants his high ball IQ and pass be a x-factor

Unfortunately, Rox is the only one meets all his demands. :D :D
