They were talking about C. Webb and how detriot is close to signing him and they mentioned that they also interested in signing a wing player. Aldridge said Pistons were trying to get bonzi in the summer, and maybe willing to trade like bonzi + sura for nazi mohammed.

    Bonzi to Pistons?

Just heard David Alridge on TNT mention that the Pistons are interested in Bonzi. He said maybe Bonzi for Dale Davis or even Nazi if a 3rd team was included.

    Bonzi to Detroit???

On TNT David Aldridge is reporting that the Pistons are interested in Bonzi and have been for a long time. They feel that he and Chris Webber can get them over the hump.

Not to mention they mentioned Nazr Mohammad and they said Sura could be added in the deal.

I'd love McDyess but I doubt we get him. Maybe a guy like Delfino, or I'd love Maxiell, but he's another guy we wont get.

make it happen, if the salaries/cap space work out

our defense would be even stronger, plus nazi provides decent offense at the C position

    (TNT) Bonzi to Detroit?

David Aldridge was just talking about C-Webb being 97% sure to go to Pistons.

DA then added Detroit wants Bonzi - for Dale Davis, straight up. Or Nazr for BW and Sura.

There cannot possibly be any similar thoughts from the Toy Shop, can there?

THey are willing to give up Dale Davis or Nazr Mohumammed, i wouldn't do it. Maybe if they are willing to give up Maxiell, but still not for a C, with the way Deke is playing. Bonzi could be really valuable to our team in the postseason

Bonzi can be a valuable trading chip for us. Let's not waste him on Nazr Mohammed, when we already have the best center combination in the league in Yao and Deke.

No thanks on Dale Davis. Maybe 10 years ago. Delfino and/or Flip Murray would be nice.

Wow, 4 threads already and none with a reply. I guess I'll take my chances that this one sticks around, since it was the first posted with a source in the title.

Hmm...the Pistons huh? I think I'd love it if we could get McDyess.

I think we're pretty scary as-is. Bonzi provides proven offense and grit in the play-offs, and it's our offense that sputters at times; even our bench plays good D.

But maybe someone else would want Dale and we can get another scorer with more than essentially a single-season contract?

hell no we better not do no such thing this would be the dumbest trade in the history well behind the charles barkley but hell no espn just gave us credit for being smart on there website and now i here this bull.

    3. Rockets trade Stromile Swift and the rights to Rudy Gay for Shane Battier
I think Rudy Gay might be a heck of a player down the road, and in an up-tempo system Swift can wreak havoc. But on a team such as Houston that plays a rugged, halfcourt style and is focused on winning today because Tracy McGrady's back might not make it till tomorrow, neither player was going to help the cause much.

Battier, on the other hand, has made a huge impact. His spot-up shooting has been helpful (40.4 percent on 3-pointers) but the reason this deal ranks so high is his effect on Houston's defense. The Rockets lead the NBA in defensive efficiency by a wide margin after ranking seventh a year ago, thanks mainly to the acquisition of one of the league's best team defenders. With superior defense, they've been able to shrug off absences by McGrady and Yao Ming to maintain contact with the West's elite. One other sign of Battier's impact: Houston gives up more points than it scores when he's off the floor, which isn't true of any other Rocket.

Houston's theft of Kirk Snyder should start to pay dividends now that he's almost back from a wrist injury. …

I hope the Rockets don't do it. They need Bonzi for the playoff push!

Bad deal. Dale Davis sucks, and we already have deke as a backup. Bonzi will be great for us.

Maybe Flip Muarry, he can score but he cant shoot just like Alston, he'd be a nice spark off the bench since we dont really have a backup PG. Even Hunter would be serviceable. He's crazy good defensivley and say we see the Spurs or other great teams with fast PG'S we can stick Hunter on em to slow em down. Maybe like Bonzi + Sura for Hunter + Davis(would be a good 3rd center and a pretty good backup with Yao out.

No, don't trade Bonzi for crap... He is going to be a very valuable piece that puts us over the top... Another role player who can't create their own shot is not gonna help us down the stretch.

    No to Davis
    No to Murray
    No to Maxiel
    No to delfino
    Maybe to Dyss
    Maybe to Murray + Davis/Max
Yes to Rafer/Bonzi/1st for Billups :D
