dont know if anyone else went and saw JVG's post game on rockets.com but he said that tracy said that he had a rafer night to which jvg replied that he was hot compared to rafer.

JVG at around 9.5 minutes through press conference:
"Mcgrady is playing with much greater passion, you know, when yao...this year when yao's been out, than last year"

I love tmac but i don't like hearing a players name and lack of passion anytime. of course maybe i am trying to analyze what jvg said too much. i do realize maybe jvg maybe meant he had passion last year but this year it is at another level or something.

    go rockets!

He knows the players read the sports page and it will get back to them....JVG, if anything, is a smart man, and will use the press to motivate his players.

Tracy lost passion for life, not just basketball last year

He was severely depressed. When he plays basketball, he's a decent competitor.

good point about his personal issues. I guess that should take precedence over what he does on the court.

no kidding, i like how he's at a loss for words when he starts describing his game again. we all knew battier was a jvg kind of guy but i think even van gundys been blown away by how good he is.

i wouldn't worry about it. if on a night that nobody shoots well tmac can shoot himself out of it and explodes later in the game, ala the chicago game. last night, everyone else was on, even rafer, so he didn't have to shoot too much and instead he had 12 assists! ;)

That's good. So it looks like Rafer had a pretty good game but sometimes even when his stats look good people still think he played bad. Did he play well last night? No matter what everyone thinks I hope he will have more confidence like he did at the beginning of the year and hits those threes like he did last night.
