Sorry, I open a new thread because I am so happy we win the lakers even with Tmac's 8 pts and no Yao.

I see the hope, energy, chance, approvement and all positive things. All role players are on their way. We are definitely not the same team as the last year.

Based on the current performance we have, can we have 60% chance to win the title or win the west final?

I will say "Yes" with our big Yao's back.

Don't say that's a dream because now nobody in this league can easily beat us. Never. :D

    No doubt about it.

I just want to see how we mesh when Yao is back. If Tracy's back truly does hold up, we have to be considered one of the top 3 favorites.

this depends on the health of our team....with tmac and yao we can be unstoppable as long as howard plays like he has been...with deke commin off the bench we will be fine

I think the talent is there. But I am more conerned about our player's mental toughness, killer instincts, experience etc. Remember the Dallas series 2 years ago, that was a huge mental breakdown.

That was a different team and role players then. This year our role players are much better, although not as talented individually compared the top team's bench , but they all play with more passion and with strong desire to win. These last 10 games or so without Yao has made believer in our bench and role players

i think the rox hav probably about an equal chance at winning the title as the spurs or the mavs. but we can't get anymore injuries and rafer must start hitting his shots

We have about as good a shot of winning it as we did 2 years ago. That is to say, we're a very good team and we have a chance, but it's going to be very tough.

Nothing is guaranteed in the West this year. Just making it out of the first round would be a big accomplishment for this team.

If Yao, Bonzi and Snyder all comes back, we will.

Mavs are the favorites. THey have a better chance than the Spurs. I really think we are better than Spurs when whole

i have a bad feeling that even though we will play relatively well in the regular season, we will choke again during the playoffs.

    However...
if Yao comes back, Tmac stays healthy, Bonzi gets off his ass, Rafer shoots a decent percentage, JHow puts in the effort, and Battier stays shutdown defensively and reliable offensively...

    who know?

Quick, name the last team that went from not making the playoffs to winning a title.

I think we'll do well this post season, but you have to go through growing pains before getting the title.

I believe two teams did it, but they were nearly 4 decades ago, the Golden State Warriors and (if I'm not mistaken) the Portland Trailblazers. Went from lottery to championship. Getting past 1st round it fine by me, especially with the insane difficulty of the West. The winner of the Western Conference can win the NBA finals simply due to the lack of competition from the East.

The Rockets are actually ranked 3rd in the latest Foxsports.com power rankings. The mavs and suns come in ahead and the spurs in 4th. I think we are definitely top 5, and I think we can definitely win a title this year. We've got a great shot, especially if T-mac can stay healthy and no one else suffers major injury. Once Yao, Bonzi, and Snyder come back we are gonna be set. I think our team is really starting to come together and in Yao's absence our roleplayers have learned how to play well with each other and when he comes back things are going to be even better.

If our roleplayers, Yao, and T-mac keep up the high level of play... we can beat anyone and have a great shot at a title.

Both Yao's and McGrady's injury is a blessing in disguise. Go Rockets!
