Are you saying no because you believe only points gets you into the HOF.

He'll be borderline... just like Dennis Rodman and Ben Wallace.

NO, he only made it 4 times. Still i dont think anyone has beat that mark, though wallace may have tied it.

Plus, the bball hall of fame is real big. They induct a lot of people each year.

no. I'm saying no because I don't think he was ever one of the top couple of players at his position in the league.

this guy's reputably one of the best defensive players of all time when he was in his prime...so my answer is HECK YEAH!!!!

and btw he's only made defensive player 4 times...lol...'95 '97 '98 and '01...he also averages a double double in career averages...10.7ppg and 10.9 rbg...how can anyone say no to that?

Doesn't matter. Neither was Joe Dumars, and he got in.

Dikembe deserves to be in the HOF because he's been a great ambassador for the game and he's one of the greatest rebounders/defenders in league history. He may not be first-ballot, but he should eventually get there.

He's made 2 All-NBA 3rd Teams and 1 All NBA 2nd Team. He hasn't won a ring, and he was never the best center in the league or best player on his team.

He'll get a lot of consideration, but he's no lock. And I doubt very many people on this board would say that he's a lock were he not a Rocket.

Guys like Bernard King, Artis Gilmore, and Adrian Dantley didn't make the Hall. When was Dikembe ever one of the top 10 overall players in the league in 1 season?

bplld had Roger Clemons's 7 Cy Youngs or Nolan Ryan's 7 no hitters in his head...Deke did not have 7 DBOY awards.

deke makes it imo. #2 all time the number of DPOY awards. the DPOY has become a joke of late with the league pretty much handing it to ben wallace every year. wallace is a great help defender but give me a deke in his prime anyday of the week over wallace in his prime.

plus all what he has done for the league no way the nba doesnt induct him esp with his credentials

caboose, did you ever see deke play in his prime?

defensive player of the year 4 times. 2nd all time shot-blocker. deke's is also probably going to be top 15 rebounder before he retires. 8 time all-star. he's also one of basketball's finest personalities and ambassadors.... basketball without borders.

he's a lock for HOF in his first year of eligibility.

The NBA rides the fact that Mutombo built that hospital so much that it'd be a disgrace if they didn't induct him

There is no doubt about, Deke should and will make it into the Hall of Fame.
