Skip Bayless is a complete idiot. Woody Paige, as comical as he sounds, is far more informative than him. Simply put, Skip is an ass.

Well, he got that partially right, about the Texans being idiots anyway.

But this Bayless guy does seem to be a complete idiot. See this link about "Eddie Johnson":

Skip is one of those analysts who is lucky that he grew up when he did, because if he were trying to get into the business these days he's actually have to know what the hell he is talking about. Everybody and their mother has a computer now and it takes about 1 minute to do a search on Google that makes uninformed TV personalities look like complete idiots.

These days you better know exactly what you're talking about if you're going to say something on national TV.

while i dont agree that we are better without yao, i do agree with skip's comment that dikembe gives us an interior rebounding and shot blocking presence that yao doesnt have...yet, that is. dikembe just has better instincts and more knowledge.

This is load of crp, Yao have no problem give tmac control of the game, i.e. rox vs wizard the game tmac got injured. the reason rockets are doing good now is
    1) tmac is red hot (he's showing signs before his injury but carried the form when he came back)

2)Team start to learn to get role player into the game, not just shoot 3s. When tmac went down, everyone started to chip in. specially the clipper game which we played without yao tmac. Role player now fully understand what they have to do.

3)defence. When tmac went down, rox are putting the numbers. we are scoring around 100 ppg with only yao, but we give up more points. Now tough d is back (rox vs spur) we are very good.

what does that mean when yao come back.
    1) tmac and yao's ppg may go down, but we will get more balance scoring.

    2) we will have the third scorer, might be battier sometime, might be juwan, might be head.

i gonna say, if everyone stay healthy for the rest of the season, we will go deep into playoff. Championship? I hope so, but we might just need one more season to get novak into the rotation

Apples and Oranges analysis. A very simple concept.

So far this year we've had:

    1. 100% Yao + < 100%TMac (no way was he 100% at the start of the season)
    2. 100% Yao + No TMac
    3. No Yao + 100% TMac

How can one say what 100% + 100% will be?

People said the same thing a few years back when Shaq went down with the Heat and they went on a winning streak. Same thing with Sac-town when Webber went down, Phoenix when Amare went down, or Dallas without Nowitzski.

Are the Rockets playing better without Yao? Yes. Are they better without Yao? No.

This just shows how good this team can be with all of it's pieces clicking. Great teams respond to adverse situations by still being great teams. That's what is happening here.

You're seeing the Rockets evolve into a contender. And Yao is what puts us in that orbit. Without him, we're just a good team.

    Per The YoYo:

"like i tell my roomates, yao is our best player but tmac is our most important"

I like this- it made me think. I agree with this. This is what I like about this board. different veiwpoints are educational for me....

I remember the mistaken Identity report on Eddie Johnson. Eddie was upset- which I understand. I never read any apology by Bayless. Is Bayless the vacation relief substitute for Jim Rome who talks about movies? He references "Top Gun" a lot.

You're assuming they're watching the Rockets play, which I can assure you they don't. It's a lot more fun to continue stereotyping Yao Ming from his early years as a 'finesse' (i.e. soft big man) player who likes to shoot jumpers.

Frankly, I think quoting anything Skip Clueless has to say in the GARM should be a banable offense.

It's pretty clear that Skip Brainless has somehow perfected the art of blackmail.

He obviously has some serious serious dirt of numerous executives in tv-world, and this is how he manages to keep a job in sports journalism.

It's one thing to be consistently wrong - that's bad enough - but to be consistently wrong so ADAMANTLY is the hallmark of true greatness in the field of badness.

My nine-week-old Dachshund puppy would make a better sports journalist than ol' Skippy.

Give me a break. Whisper that Yao is tradeable and watch 29 other teams stampede to Houston with really sweet offers.

Cold Pizza is ghey...Tmac is special, but so is Yao...We were all chanting MVP for Yao b/f he got injured...If he picks up where he left off, I so no reason to change, other than it being a competition with Tmac for the honor...
