am I the only one who has seen this commercial played? I think they showed it inbetween the game Charles was helping out Marv, cuz Kerr back was hurting him. it shows Yao hitting jumper after jumper after jumper for about a good 45 seconds...and says something about hardwork....if someone has it let me know. By the way....ummm Charles was soooooooooo much better than Clyde, I think its cuz Charles will speak his mind, and be like " Now that shot was crap!!" instead of Clyde's "Wheewwww, it must be cold in here, hard to feel the ball when its cold"
yup I have seen this....the scene was during practice right? YAO was taking jumpers at about 15 feet.....nothing but net.
It was either before or after an KNICKS game I want to say, I was sitting there like @#$##@!!! where is Rafer, he needs to be right behind YAO, or atleast take the hint.
There was another Rocket in the commercial besides Yao doing shooting drills. To me, it looked like the other Rocket was Rafer.
hmmm if its Rafer, can we link Rafer slump to Yao being out, and maybe he is not shooting before or after games anymore? And I swear he is the only NY guard who does not have the floater-teardrop shot, but I also think its because Rafer gets stuck between...floating it up and going glass...and it always ends up a tweener and hits back of rim
i actually really liked this series of NBA commercials, with all the dramatic music and whatnot. anyone else think yao had a goofy look on his face during that close up? sweet commercial tho, now we need one with tmac.
Yeah, I love the new ads the NBA is putting out. It really makes you realize why you love the game so much. I think they are really effective ads.
The exact quote is "Excellence is not an act. It's a habit." by Aristotle. The commercial shows Tom Thibodeau passing the ball repeatedly to Yao who's standing at the top of the key about 21 feet from the basket and draining jumper after jumper. It is just beautiful.
This is part of Yao's workout routine, like the 3pt contest. Everytime he shoots those jumpers from 5 spots, hast to make 7 in a row(sth like that), then move on to the next spot. If he misses one in the middle, the count resets to 0. Sometimes it could take hours for him to finish the drill.
