Man, that blows. I thought the original "at least six weeks" was still on track last I heard because he was progressing normally... Now I hear that not only is it going to be about eight weeks, but those eight weeks aren't even until his return to the game -- it's only until he can begin active rehab???

I hate when I misunderstand something to make the news seem better than it actually is...

I mean I know we're doing well without him, but just imagine how much better we could do with this rejuvinated T-Mac and the unleashed Yao Ming together. I seriously don't think any team in the league (except the Suns) could stop us.

IC2000 didn't say 6 more weeks. He said 6 weeks plus 2-3 for rehab.

    just parsing words. ;)

So 10-11 weeks total. So March 1-ish is realistic. Hopefully we'll see him a little sooner.

Well, this is better than my initial reaction, which was that our season was toast.

But 10 or 11 weeks is a problem. I love Mutombo, but he can't hold down the fort that long. And at some point McGrady will have to sit out at least a few games, maybe without Wells either. We are going to see a serious slide in the standings as the no-Yao period wears on. Let's just hope we stay afloat.

Yeah, as good as our record has been, I miss our big guy. I want the team to dominate their opponents on a nightly basis like I know they can.

Win or lose, I always say..."Man, seems like forever since Yao's been out." Of course, I did the same thing when Tracy was out :p

Considering Feb consists of only 28 days, the life becomes a little better for me. Just hope TMac and his teammates could keep it up.

I guess I am a Yao Only Fan. Although I still follow every Rocket game, cry if they win, and get pissed for a whole day if they lost, I shall admit that I really miss his presence in the game. The only time I was in TC this year, only found him went down with a injury. This still hurt my feeling.

That is what I worry about, but the wins we are getting right now is buying Yao at least a week or two more recovery time. Once Yao's back, Tmac can take a back seat, floating around until playoff. We will be ready to go then.

Damn, I was hoping he'd be back for the Rockets game in Memphis but oh well. I just hope he gets healthy.

I'm sorry but Pizzeria UNOs is merely aight.

Giordano's is the ****. Gino's East is not.

But all that said, I think there are two pizza places better than all of those: Lou Malnotti's and Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinders (mmmmmmm I'm drooling thinking about having a hot metal bowl come out to my table and flipped upside down in my plate to reveal a cheezy gooey pizza mess).

That's it I'm buying some tickets to Chicago. Dam, shoulda got there yesterday for the game.

As long as the Rockets are winning, the more time Yao takes to rehab and heal, the better. I want good play from him when he comes back just in time to for the playoffs.
