Anyone heard of these guys? I've had both my wife and my car on Allstate for the longest time. Been too lazy to check out prices. Yesterday I called Geico and switched over. Went from $1000/6 months to $796. Then I get a letter in the mail from 21st Century boasting how they are the lowest. So I call them and they are an amazing $564 for the same coverage. I had just switched to Geico an hour previous but I'm thinking of switching again. But I won't bother if their service really sucks. $500 a year is a lot of money but I don't want to put up with any headaches right after I've gotten into an accident.
I've had Geico a while and really like it. When I had my accident they were really good about taking care of me. Zero complaints.
Ex-military are not really eligible anymore. Once you are discharged, I think they'll give you a few months to jump on board. After that, you are SOL.
Or Federal Government employee, or their sons or daughters... My dad is a former FBI agent and that's how I have it. I love the fact we actually get a reimbursement check every December!
My friend's grandfather was the founder. I went to the Michigan vs. Washington Rose Bowl and parade with them. Other than that though, I don't really know anything about it.
Dang. Wish someone knew more about them. That's good money to be saved now but I don't want to have to fight for my money after an accident.
Agreed. I've filed two claims with Geico, and both were handled AMAZINGLY fast, with repairs done to my complete satisfaction. I don't know anything about 21st Century, but it would have to be an incredible deal for me to switch from Geico. What you're talking about is basically only a $20 per-month difference.
It's actually $40/month. The quote is a 6-month price. And when the cost of insurance is only around $130/month with Geico... $40/month is significant, in terms of percentage at least. But I'll probably stick with Geico until I find out more about this new company.
