If Mario makes 4 Pro bowls it wil be 2 more than VY and Reggie put together.

He needs to go to the pro bowl almost every year and average over 10 sacks a year for his career. Normally, you might be satisfied with a little less, but this wasn't a normal draft. Picking him over Bush and Young, he needs to be nothing less than a superstar. If he isn't that, then it was a bad pick - not necessarily a complete waste, but bad nonetheless.

Thats probably right on the money where most people think...Don't want to come around to thinking that but its just the truth. That is, if Vince and Bush themselves are annual Pro Bowl picks.

Mario Williams said it himself - he has to get double digit sacks to hold back the critics. At least he's a realist.

Change his name from Mario Williams to Mario Davis. Maybe that will give him a new start.

Hmmm ... did not know about the 'ROIDS deal. Just was looking at the stat chart (oh wait, it only went back to 2003 season) my mistake, from NFL.com and that's why I came to that conclusion about comparing the two.

Going back to the combine comparisons, Mario either equaled or exceeding Julius'.

That all being said, Mario deserves a second season to TRULY show his worth. He may not be Bruce but, I dont think he's going to Courtney us or Travis Johnson us.

I would definitely look for double digits from him sackwise next year.

Agreed about the cover safety, I am anxious to see how Landry performs against the Irish for the Bayou Bengals.

I would be satisfied if he sacked Vince in an overtime game for a win, or caught Bush mid air during one of his touchdown dives.

Make it okay that the team passed on Vince Young is the correct answer.

If the Texans had drafted Bush and he had the year he had, what would be his worth for passing up Young or williams?

I think when its all said and done its going to be damn near as bad as if the rockets would have taken Sam Bowie the 1st overall pick in the 1984 NBA draft. hope im wrong but cant help but have that feeling
