Hey, didn't people say he peaks around this time anyway? So they were telling the truth! Anyway, Go Rox!!!
Doesn't it seem like this is more mental than physical with Tracy? His first two games back (which would have been after the "Patterson miracle") he struggled tremendously. Perhaps his recent play has more to do with us blowing out New Jersey on the road than whatever Patterson did to his back.
It doesn't really matter if yao is on court or not, as long as other bench players perform. is yao still needed?
I haven't seen the past few games. TMac is certainly putting up good numbers and the team is winning. How does he look out there though. Is he just making his jumpshots or is he slashing/driving and getting to the hoop more? In other words - is he playing like his old self? On defense - i think he is versatile enough where we could just put him on the worst offensive player (1 to 3 position) of the other team to conserve his strength, etc. In key situations, of course, we would switch up since he has shown that he can be a lockdown defender when necessary. While he is potentially our best defensive player, given his health situation, I'd rather "save" him for offense since that is where he shines. Being the key playmaker/scorer/etc. is already quite a load.
i'm not going to drink the koolaid so easily. the phsyics of stress and strain deals with time and history... so everything can be fine for a while until the stress/strain history compounds and breaches the breaking point like the straw that broke the camel's back. i just hope that mcgrady will fly into wacon when there are 2-3 days off to get another sesssion with Peterson. and what about BONZI?!! BONZI, get yourself over to waco for some synergy release therapy!!!
whether it's safe to say he's back or not, I haven't seen T-Mac play this well since the 04 playoffs. Maybe we are used to the injured t-mac for so long, but this version of t-mac is the real tmac.
I agree. Although he's still quite a far cry from the '02-'03 Tmac, he's definitely playing the best stretch of ball right now since the Dallas series.
No doubt. Before the injuries, we were right up there with Dallas and San Antonio as far as record goes, and that was with a struggling TMac. We lost a little ground when he went down, and I hope we can keep up the pace we are currently at for as long as possible, b/c Dallas and SA won't stop.
No, it was the Friday before, and after that he was able to workout for 4 consecutive games I think. And then he returned for the Indiana game on Tuesday (12/26). Of course, Indiana and New Jersey was a back to back, so maybe he just was battling fatigue/rust after the long lay off.
Great to see all the positive attention on T-Mac but also need to point out those haters. Hate to say it but people are so damm fickle...2 weeks ago people were questioning T-Mac's manhood and toughness and even bashing him as not being a top tier, nba superstar. I found it really sad and pathetic. Glad to see Mac is healthy and showing the doubters that he is still a top 5 SG/SF in the game. Lance Zerline (610) and Dazy Dukes (790) were calling t-mac weak, heartless, not a superstar, saying he will never dominate again...today I listen to both in the morning and both are back on the bandwagon...it is sickening.
It was not just the visit to Patterson. That made his back healthy and he was ready to play, that was before the Pacers/Nets back to back. What really got him to tick was JVG telling him to forget what he should be, what he can be, what he isn't anymore, and have fun and just play ball. That game he lit it up (31 pts in 28 minutes) and ever since then he's been on fire. The visit to Patterson got him healthy, the talk with JVG got him rolling.
