Will there be a new pricing structure or are we stuck with the old "rip off" rates? Obviously I'm not too happy paying roughly $55 a month for cable internet. If they dropped it to $39.99 I would be happy.
That icon is your Network card speed. It has nothing to do with your Cable modem. You CAN get better speed with a hacked cable modem, but that's a whole different ball of wax. And it's pretty technical. And may be illegal.
Call and say that you want to cancel your service because it doesn't seem that their services are worth what they charge and they will give you the promotional rate. I have had the "6 month" rate 3 times in a row now.
I'm not sure this is entirely correct. From what I've read about Comcast, they do have NBATV in practically all their markets. They also seem to have the same stuff TW currently has for HD content except for HDNet (which is a bummer....I like that channel. They show Chick Corea.). ESPN2HD is a plus.
Yes, they had NFL Network in Dallas...I can't remember espn2hd...TW sucks as they don't offer crap...
FYI- I called TimeWarner at (888) 750-7890 just now and told them that I had gotten an offer in the mail for AT&T DSL for $15 a month and asked them if they could price match. They said that they could give me the intro rate of $29.95 for six months effective next bill. It was very easy and took about two minutes once I got a rep. $60- definately worth five minutes of my time.
Well, I have nothing to do so I called and the rep that I got said that they dont price match and instead offered RR Lite which is slower but cheaper.
Cool, I just got them to lower the price to $29.99 too. The guy on the phone was pretty hesistant and it took me awhile to get him to offer me the 29.99 rate for 6 months. The previous two or three times I called and asked to cancel for a lower rate they didn't care and were willing to cancel my account
So you just called several times until someone finally did it? I am thinking about calling again but they note your account each time. It may look weird..but then I again why should I care.
