Do you think it is unethical to move down during a sporting event. Especially when its halftime and there are quite a few empty seats in the front?

It seems like it should be our duty to fill up the empty seats near the floor first...

    Well, it depends.

Did you move up so you could hit on TMac, or did you move up for better seats?

    Just Kidding. :p

    And no.

At a basketball or football game wait until halftime.

At a hockey game wait until the 2nd period.

At a baseball game wait until after the 3rd inning.

At a strip club, you can't put money in a man's thong.

The only reason I clicked on this thread was to see who would make the first "gay" comment and how soon it would come.

If you had Kam in the second post in the pool, time to cash out.

i swear, this has to be some record for adeelsiddiqui for most threads started in the span of like 30 mins

btw, I don't think its unethical, hell, if your not in your seat by the end of the first quarter, you should not even own the ticket you bought. Even if they were free or given to you, get to the game ON TIME....

then again, ive been late a few times, but hell, i got season tixs :p and i idid come late to the Texans/Colts game at about halftime :p

it's not like your stealing the seat. if it's unused in my eyes it's fair game.

As an everyday smiley user, I think you can safely go with the ;) guy after the first question and maybe the  guy a close second. If you were pissed for just one moment, and didn't want to come across as an a-whole, I'd have used the  guy and then the :p guy.

If I was with my buddies or alone, I'd move. If I was with people who were looking up to me to do the "right thing", I would not move up. I am strongly leaning towards the "fair game" ideal BigM proposed.

Nah, no jab at all. I thought it was pretty damn funny.

I knew someone would bring it up and it's even funnier that it was brought up as the very first reply to a thread about seating at sporting events.

I don't mind people moving up, but usually in the 3rd quarter when it is clear that the seats are not going to be used.

But, I want to make sure that His Gayness Adeel is sitting IN FRONT of me.

I'm on the fence on this one. I guess if it's obvious that the seats are not going to be used then I guess it's okay. Personally, I'm too chicken to move but if other people do it and they're not being rude or obnoxious then I guess it's okay.

Last season my husband and I were in the lower bowl and some jerk from the nosebleeds came down and crashed our section. I guess he was drunk because he was starting all kinds of trouble with a lot of people from our section. Those types of people can stay in their seats and not even think about moving on down IMO.

Not only should people not be allowed to move up, but they should be ejected from the arena should they do so.

If your contribution to society has not rewarded you with enough money to purchase the seat of your choosing, then you should be exiled to the far reaches of the venue, to be left to think about how you can improve your skillset in order to earn enough money to purchase a suitable seat.

Ya, it is just wasted down there. I plan to attend the rockets pacer game next year in Indy (I had planned for this year until Yao broke his leg). If I get a chance, I am moving up as close as I can so I can get some good pics and maybe some autographs.
