Marc Stein has seen T-Mac play, and he is a believer. He refused to drop the Rockets last week after Yao's injury, and now we've moved up 4 spots to #5. Top 10: 1. Mavericks (2) 2. Suns (1) 3. Spurs (3) 4. Jazz (5) 5. Rockets (9) 6. Wizards (7) 7. Bulls (8) 8. Pistons (4) 9. Lakers (6) 10. Pacers (11) http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/powerranking?season=2007&week=9
I put no stock in this. It is better to be ranked in the 20s and catch everyone by surprise. Respect is useless at this stage. Just win the ring.
People are never happy with the power rankings no matter if we are 5th or 25th. I enjoy looking at them just to see what others are thinking right now, thanks for posting the link.
three out of top 5 are from OUR DIVISION... does anyone think maybe a possible change to mix the teams up in divisions? Maybe after a team added in LV?
when i'm feeling confident in the team they get ranked too low. now i'm feeling like they're at risk of losing to anyone and they get ranked very high. oh well, i guess that's what 3-1 without yao will get you.
TMac looked great last night if he continues to do so, we will be a contender if he comes up with an injury again, look for a trade asap
It's not about not being happy (in my case), but rather simply not caring much about 'power rankings'. But after being underrated, and enjoying success, you can always say:
wow very generous of ESPN. But then if you look at the records alone, we do deserve to be there execept for the Lakers at No.9 who have 1 more win than us. Good stuff.
Power Rankings are too subjective. Do you really think the NBA players and coaches give a rats @$$ about the ESPN power rankings.
i know. what's next? steve kerr and greg anthony giving props too? nah, not a chance. maybe dampier will admit yao is a better center than he is.
