    I second that.

Unfortunately despite his flaws, we are stuck with him.

It's interesting that Houston has a tradition of excellence in the big man department but continue to lack a decent point guard?

Good coaching by JVG. Needed it to cover up for Rafer. But a win's a win and now we can party it up...

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

4-18 shooting from the field, including 1 of 7 from 3pt land

    2 of 6 free throws

Lucas, Vspan, Novak? nope, you guessed it

Alston has the talent to be a good point guard, but his decision-making is preventing him from being more consistent. On night's like tonight, he needs to realize that his shot isn't falling, and look to get other players involved.

A game like tonight shows how valuable a guy like Bonzi can be. We need that second good swingman to be able to play D on big perimeter players who torched us, POST UP, rebound and slash.

If Bonzi plays well and agressively, we can beat a couple of good teams too

I thought I told Skip no more than 10 shots a game, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

But, what's important is that we win, and as far as just looking at the box score, Skip is pretty serviceable as long as he doesn't shoot. But 4-18, 1-7 3pt, 2-6 ft makes you look bad.

OMG, it was like Rafer was on Memphis's payroll, he was this close to costing us the game. If he hadn't made that last ft, .....! TMac was pretty money in the 4th, and then he pulled a Magic with that last second heave, thats shows u how high his BBall IQ is

Clyde's comments on Alston, hilarious! Alston steps up to the line, Clyde says he is "all heart" and has had a "stellar season." Alston then misses both freethrows. If Alston has had a "stellar" season, I'm Elvis. Reefer can't hit the side of a red barn with a brickbat. Bottomline, the boy can't shoot. Sure he makes one now and then; even a blind squirrel gets an acorn now and then. He kills momentum like no player on the team. I want to see more of Lucas, I like his quickness and he shoots well.

TMac looks good, folks. Just keep beating the teams we should beat and steal a few from the good guys. They may weather this storm.

Almost invariably, Reefer has the 2nd or 3rd most Rocket shot attempts. He seems to have annointed himself the #2 man, or #3 man if both Yao and TMac are playing.

But doesn't someone in the organization have the guts to tell him that he isn't a shooter? Just incredible that this could go on.

Not only that. Clyde also said that he thought when the season began Rafer could be a dark horse for All Star team   . I think he was talking about the All Star team in Las Veg... I mean, Los Alamos, New Mexico for the NBDL All Star game :D

I love Rafer. I know he didn't shoot the ball well and he choked a bit, but his D was awesome. How many times did you see Atkins penetrate in the second half? 0 He played with a lot of energy. He took 0 bad shots. He plays better in stretches than when he's asked to play 40+min a game. Unfortunately John Lucas is a liabilty on defense, but he plays extremely hard.

The reason Skip shoots so much is because of his ability in NBA 2k7. In that game he can single-handedly win a game. 40 points is never a question with him. I often start games off by scoring the first 15 in a row with him. Then he is knocking down no less than 6 3pt each time. Also, his on ball defense is second to none. He can steal from anyone easier than Juwan in an Oakley's store. Someone needs to tell him to stop playing that game and get back to reality.

Alston always hits a couple of big shots at the end of the games regardless of his cold hands....

Because he has icewater in his veins. He only connects on cold-blooded daggers.
