    OMG did you know that Jason Kidd is half black?? :eek:
    This is turning my world upsidedown! :D
    Whats next, is someone gonna tell me that Chris Kaman and Steve Novak are both black too??? :eek: :eek: :eek:

    its funny becuase ive been watchin bball for like 5 years, yet it never occured to me someone as white as j-kidd could be half-black

    as they say, never judge a book by its cover :D

    what exactly does half black mean?

    i suspected it from the first time i saw him play, not just the way he played but the 'do he was sporting in his rookie year!!

    He actually got 1/2 a minute in the 1st half tonight because they are being blown out so bad by the Kings (right now it's 74-43 at halftime).

    I actually didn't know that Kidd was half black until I read this. It's one of those things that you never really think about. I actually thought he had some Puerto Rican in him.

    Wow, you seriously couldn't tell just by looking at him? That's funny. Skin tone-wise, he's a lot like Mike Bibby. Very light with prominent African-American features.

    What about Shane Battier and Deron Williams?
    their skin are too light to be considered black (for me)
    can someone plz give me some back ground info on them?

    Didn't know Kidd was half black, only speculated jokingly after hearing him talk and seeing his hair back in the day.

    Kidd's father is black and his mother is irish.

    Bibby does not look mixed at all to me. :p

    His dad is a basketball coach.

    Are you serious. If you didn't know he was part black that's fine, but in no way does he look 100% white. He always looked like a VERY light skinned black man to me. While it wasn't surprised, I wasn't sure he was part white until I saw it in print.
