    Oden derby....here we go...

Seriously, I'd like Oden. Failing that, Durant. Failing that,....valhalla.

You guys are aware that Memphis is 6-22, right? Ok, so Gasol is back, maybe they'll crawl out of the cellar. That doesn't prevent Charlotte from being 7-19, or Philly, or Atlanta from sucking.

Heck, there are only 7 teams above .500 in the West right now. Golden State could maybe make a run...I could see New Orleans improving, maybe Sacramento getting above .500 - I would have said Minnesota, too, but I think they are just too passionless.

Point being, it ain't all that bad.

Even with the relative crap the Rockets will be throwing out there over the next [ ] games until T-Mac is back, and then Yao, they'd have to really suck to get into the Oden derby (lottery luck aside).

If we were to get that high, Oden, Durant, Noah, Brandan Wright...they could all be good, and have size.

    Mac is back. Don't worry.

And if we fall, I'd take Durant. Oden needs polishing. Durant seems like a nice fit.

Oden needs polishing but keep in mind the guy only as a handful of games under his belt and a lot can happen between now and march - look at the progress Durant has made.

I just think a twin towers lineup (on the off chance we won the lotto) between Oden and Yao would be totally badass.

Yeah that would be pretty sweet. I just don't see us falling that far and getting lucky in the lottery.

I'm probably in the minority, but I really like Brandan Wright's game. His athletic ability and style of play remind me a lot of Kevin Garnett and Chris Bosh. Having a 7'4" wingspan doesn't hurt, either. The only holes in his game that I can see are his free-throw shooting and his low-post game, though he has improved tremendously since arriving at North Carolina.

wright has no jump shot and looks like he needs 25 pounds on his upper body. we cant wait around for a raw guy, especially with JVG coaching.

Noah is going to be awesome. His range is a little limited, but he does everything else. He's the best ball-handler for a big man I've seen in sometime. He blocks shots, is a superior paint defender, amazing rebounder, passes extremely well, always knows where to be on offense and defense, has great anticipation and finishes around the rim really well. He is the seven-foot-tall Chuck Hayes.

No Chuck is all heart, Noah is all ego, much like Adam Morrison. Big difference.

But on the other hand... Noah does have skills. Most of which are all athletic and not high bball IQ, though it seems like last year he did improve under Billy D as the season continued as far as making on court decisions. One thing you can say.. if he doesn't rebound, Florida can't win.. don't know why, but that's how its been this year so far.

Noah will take time to develop as an NBA player ... imho. :)

I am not ready to toss our hat into the lottery bin at this point, so I will have to consider it for a bit longer on what player would fit the Rockets with Yao and Tmac before I pick who they should go for.

I see Noah peaking somewhere around a slightly taller Boris Diaw, and he's not near the passer yet.

He's a good player, and I think will have a very effective career, but when I've watched him, I don't see superstar potential like Oden, Durant, and Brandan Wright.

I think he probably would've been #1 overall last year, coming off the hype, but he's got no chance going ahead of either Durant or Oden this year.

I see a lot of trades in the top 10 this year if all of these guys come out...there's a lot of guys dripping potential that teams will have to take a chance on.
