I picked up my car from the shop yesterday. The seat and mirrors were not set the way I like them. The radio was tuned to 106.5...some Latino station. I don't speak spanish. I have a feeling my car was taken out for a joyride err testing.

Be careful what place you take them to. I've seen several places, where you leave your car for a couple of days to get it repaired and they take your car to drive around town to run errands and possibly go home for the night. You never know with these places.

I understand that they may have to adjust the seat or mirrors but they shouldn't be playing the radio while test driving my car --- they should be listening for problems

99% of the time, they change the station to listen to it while they are working on your car

Thats correct. Well i dont own a mechanic shop, i do own a car audio store & we are working on cars all day.

When we have to install and alarm, speakers, ect. We have to move everything to reach under the dash as well as test everthing before the leave. Which would mean moving the automatic mirrors, seats back and forth, windows up and down to be sure everything is good to go.

As far as the radio goes my guys like listening to music while they work & of course tuning amps and speakers requires changing the stations around.

Check your odometer. I know my mechanic doesn't take my cat our because it's a piece of junk going on 200,000 miles. :D
