I'm torrent-savvy (I'm an ex-Unix Sys Admin). I built a linux box specifically for torrenting and media playing, so I can administer it remotely. Used to have a very large mp3 collection, roommate destroyed my drive (said the disk was "bad" because he tried to hook it up to his laptop with a USB cable and knew not what XFS was). I'm very old school. Don't like the Cowboys though. I gave up on NFL when the Oilers left. I'm a Longhorns fan. Used to belong to some good private torrent sites but they've all since been shut down. And I don't live in the US. My ISP could care less about what ports I use or what I download. Someone invite me. I have bandwidth. deji (at) eh dot org
damn, love the oink site, and have been downloading a few things, however most have nobody else wanting to upload them....
they got attacked last night which is messing up a lot of uploading... be sure to leave your client open. unfortunately i just closed mine a little while ago, so i'm pretty much screwed.
I believe you can download up to 5 gigs before the ratio watch kicks in. Download a recently seeded audio book or discography and seed out. Those things sometimes take on a life of their own and speed up your upload ratio.

Thanks, LonghornFan! This is pretty cool, even though I had to switch my BT client to Azureus because Transmission is banned. I wish uTorrent was available for the Mac. Hmmm, I might have to pull my old desktop PC out of the closet and set it up. I think uTorrent has a web interface. These seeding ratios ain't gonna cut it too well from my laptop.
