Yao always runs to the 3-pt line to help defense, whose idea is it ?

I don't even know what to say.

It's been the worst year that i can remember in Houston sports history ever since the 'Sros made the series.

I'm usually pretty upbeat. I've been excited about the Texans for through their tough times.

I will do the same for the Rockets but I honestly don't see any hope for the rest of the season.

T-MAC is what he is, an injury prone super star that will never be the same.

Yao is out for 6 weeks. I'm not sure if he's injury prone or not but this season is over.

W/O Yao + T-MAC this team will struggle to beat anybody. Without one of them its an average team at best.

    It's over.

It hurts to think that but whos the best player on the court now? Bonzi??? Ya we're screwed

    Merry christmas

There is a big difference between odom going out and yao and tmac. i understand your optimism and share it with you, even though you are a lakers fan, however you have a game finisher in kobe where as we have nobody to finish the games for us in the crunch. We will stay in a lot of games and make it close but will never get over the hump in the majority of the games without yao and tmac.

If you watch the games, its not Kobe that gets us the W's its a team-effort. without the role-players Kobe wouldn't lead us.

the Lakers & Rockets have good depth charts. i'm sure T-Mac will try to rush back as sooner then thought since Yao is down.

Please, don't compare the Lakers situation with ours. It's completely different. Yao and Lamar are on totally different levels. As are Kobe and a hobbled T-Mac.

I think Yao will not be back playing till March. So I am afraid this season is over. This team will compete but will lose most of the games without Yao and TMAC. That is the facts of life. Look, Battier stepped up and had 28pt and they still lose. It's the Battier and Bonzi show with no interior defense or offense. It's not going to work in the NBA.

With that in mind, what should the Rockets do? I said, check out the new guys, rookies and let them have a "Head" start. That is the best for the team long term. If Novak and Killbill is to be part of this team, they need to play and learn. This will more than likely "tank" the team naturally but it's better than letting Bonzi shoot 30 times a night knowing he is likely not part of this team next year. A chance for a high draft pick would be good.

One positive note. Dame that Battier can play. Who was holding him back? Himself? I say he IS the 3rd option...IF he takes the job ;)

not to bring up lakers talk here, but didn't kobe score the majority of the points in the double overtime game against us? How about that wizards game against arenas?
Yes the role players keep you in the game, but its the superstar that finishes the game. Like i said before we will be in the majority of the game but we have nobody to finish now.

Dude, i'm trying to compare the Lakers to the Rockets situation. it's hardly about the Lakers as vice versa.

The Rockets have good enough depth to survive this.
