I don't know how to put up a poll. but here is an idea, I wonder who will get more votes: 1) Ban those who just joined the forum and immediately start spreading hate (i.e., mrmrdan) 2) Trade TMac.
MrMrdan-- Thanks for starting this thread. This is uncharted territory. Has any one ever thought about T-Mac 's back or his lack of trade-ability??? Anyway- recall the Pippen trade- his demand- and our lack of bargaining power with other GM's because everyone knew Pippen wanted out. We got garbage for Pippen-the best asset being Kelvin Cato. Pippen was old, but healthy-he had value as a player who could play in the right system. T-Mac may be healthy for a while then not- then healthy for a while again. This is a bad situation and I feel bad for Tracy.....
Trade T-Mac? Oh, no way, too many fans here for him. I think Yao is the one should be traded. why? He wants a ring, however impossible here, it is time for him to leave, maybe Lakers is perfect for him. Perfect boss, perfect coach, perfect teammates, just not perfect for fans here. But they will forget him quickly because T-Mac, their favorite, is still here, hope still here. I don't want this happen 2 Rockerts because I love it. What we can do is to find a new boss and coach for Rockert. The Gundys suck, waht happened to Miami Heat last year, maybe it could happen to us. So don't come here to trade anyone, just trade the mean boss and stupid coach.
Hey doochebag. Maybe if you actually read my post instead of the first sentence or so, you will knowing that I have nothing against Tmac. I simply said, if you want to keep Tmac and let him be average, fine. I couldn't care less. I enjoy watching him play. But don't expect a championship. I'm just stating the inconsistency between all the threads bashing Alston, Howard, and all the threads bashing Tmac. If you want Tmac, you better be happy with what you got, since Alston makes one of the lowest salaries for starting point guards. dwFox- if you actually had a brain instead of a sh*t nugget inside that nearly-empty skull of yours, you will check my profile before opening your butthole and splurt out that I just joined the forum. Not a senior member, I've been here for almost a year, just doesn't post much, like you and Kerfeld there, who are seizing the chance to rack up on meaningless post counts to get some false sense of ego on this forum, which is really sad. See, I'm not a low-life/no-life like you guys and I don't post 2 sentence responses merely to diss someone. I post my own analysis based on FACTS. So please, do society a favor. Find a hole somewhere, crawl in it, and die. Air is too precious to waste on you birdbrains.
no matter what you say, this is still another trade tmac thread. btw, July 2006 is closer to half a year than a year. Also do your homework before you start throwing out insults on the board. Peace out.
It's not really about deciding to trade Tmac or not for the Rocket's Management. It's about finding players who would be worth trading Tmac for and if it is a possibility depending on the contract and the offers. As of right now I do not see any team with the players/contract/picks that would be match up with a Tmac trade, which either we would want or they would want.
sadly, i'd trade tmac. there is no reason for us to keep him. he isn't getting any better. the problem is his stock is so low. i think a trade of: TMAC for JAMES, DAVIS, and GRIFFIN is good for both teams.
Or, we could still have Steve Francis with a max. contract and bad knees. The Rockets have made so many bad management decisions, I don't think the TMac deal was one of the worst by any means. IF he can come back at 80%, we will still be ahead. If he can't, surely the Rockets have some kind of insurance policy like the Astros have on Bagwell. Maybe not.
To my understanding Tmac is lock til' duration of his contract! Oh and someone else will pick him up since he got the medicine man from Waco, TX.
that's what i never got about threads like this. they want him traded because he was injured, they don't feel he is any good and has a huge salary. well why would another gm want that combination that you want to get rid of? these people have no logic. all rockets fans can do is hope he stays healthy and with good health we'll get good play, because he's ours and only ours for the remainder of his contract.
Wow...great timing on this thread. T-Mac has posted a ridiculous stat-line of 29.9 ppg, 7.1 apg, 5.7 rpg, with only 2.5 tpg (which is good considering how much he handles the ball) in the month of January and you want to trade him? He has kept the Rockets without Yao Ming afloat and actually with a good record this month. He seems to be back to what he was before last year and you say he is average and mediocre. Good job. Mediocre, by definition, is barely adequate. I don't consider being one of the few players with a stat-line of 20+ ppg, 5+ rpg, and 5+ apg to be mediocre.
