To everyone who has lost faith in Tmac and think he has done or whatever, just one reminder for you guys. Don't jump back on the bandwagon when Tmac tears up the league again and lead the team to a championship. We don't need you guys to celebrate with us at that time.

As much as I feel your concern, I'd rather worry about the scenario when/if it presents itself.

The Mourning example is accurate...though he may actually have been counting mostly agains the Nets cap...don't know, you'd have to look into the specifics.

For Rockets fans, the biggest example (and most painful) is Matt Maloney, who continued to count against our cap years after he was let go.

For some reason, the hysteria over T-MAc's back reminds me of the Francis headaches problems a few years back.

It's all a matter of time before they find the right treatment.
I say give him at least till the end of the year.
    I will...

You're right, T-Mac sure will be back. but he's going to be out again (at anytime) for sure. :(

for those keep saying T-Mac will be back and shut everyone's mouth, you don't see afew things: 1. T-Mac will come back... and go out all the time, 2. T-Mac's playing totally different b-ball this year, not that he's deffering to Yao but he couldn't hit anything so far this year and becomeing a jump shooter, SO the only thing he can do now is rack up his Assist # to make it look good 3. he lost his passion for the game and keep saying he's old and would retire after this contract.

even when he's healthy, he plays like he's hurt or afraid to be hurt. though it's better to have a damaged T-Mac on the court than no T-Mac, that won't take us to the promise land. we need to explore the options while T-Mac can still get us something valueable before it's too late (remember how the Magics struggle with Hill's status?) I'd like to see a trade like T-Mac+Rafer for Ray Allen + Watson during this season. sad I'm saying this because I was a big T-Mac fan during his Orlando days and his 1st season here. :(

Worst case? We tank this season and grab a secondary star to take
Tmac's role. Yao + another all-star + complementary pieces are good
    enough to be a contender.

We're not jumping off the bandwagon this is just a worst case scenario for our team.

TMac will come back, but his back will haunt him and take him out again. As such, TMac's brokeback will prevent him from coming back to top form forever.

All this talk about trading McGrady is just a stupid waste of bandwith. He's got back problems. So what. Get over it. He ain't going nowhere.

Why don't we talk more about the possibility of acquiring one more big time player like Rashard that would turn us into a true dynasty and have teams scratching and clawing to catch us for the next 5 years?

The longer we go into this season, the more I salivate over the thought of adding Rashard to what we already have working here. I think Rashard and Earl would be perfect and would turn us into the juggernaut that every team would fear having to face. I really wished Rashard would turn up the heat on Seattle and tell them to trade him because he is going to opt out and not re-sign with them. Apparently he isn't doing so because there has been absolutely zero response to any feelers that him and his agent have put out on whether the Rox would be receptive to adding him. But Rashard is in a very powerful position right now. He's on top of his game, playing great, and he can opt out. He really could dictate a trade to the Rox by simply stating that he will not re-sign with any other teams if they trade for him. That would pretty much tie the hands of Seattle and all the other teams. They trade for him, it's just a rental.

Can you imagine a rotation of McGrady, Yao, Rashard, Battier, Watson, Alston/Head, Hayes, and whatever else.....it really wouldn't matter after the top 4. We would have the best 4 man unit in the league. Think about it. Yao, McGrady, Rashard, and Battier. Nash, Amare, Marion, Bell/Diaw??? I'd take our 4. And that's the only 4 man unit that is even close. Nobody else is even in the running.

Thank you for putting a positive spin on this thread.

My follow up question, what would we have to offer the Sonics...and please don't say anything involving JHO.

The worst: t-mac and yao both out like last year.
The best: Tmac out for whole season, then Rafer, head and wells become parker, redd and marion after a period of up and down. JHo become the best 6th, Battier keeps his D and the most important JVG learns the lesson, gets creativity and schools P.Jackson. We fortunately earn a spot for play-off. T-mac back to replace Rafer for PG, Who can beat that? Rafer becomes the best 6th off the bench in play-off. We win the Champ! :D

Why can't I be a fan of Yao? If yao move, I will move with him. Because I already watched Rockets for so many year, rockets may be my second favorite. That's all.

Why your guys root for rockets? rockets isn't fun to watch. Nuggets and Suns are more fun to watch. So, they are my second and third favorites. BTW, I am also a fan of Melo. Sometime you like a team more, sometime you like a player more. You can't blame it.

I think 90% of bulls fans like bulls just because of MJ, especially fans from oversea.

How old are you? Why dont you stop embarrassing yourself here? No one ask you not to be a fan of Yao here. No one even give a damn. But this is a ROCKETS forum, a place for rocket fans to share opinions. And you have to respect that if you want to participate in this forum. Being a yao's fan, there are many other forums for you. You can go to YaoMing Mania and worship Yao there. Please leave this forum alone.
