1-800-GIVE-LIFE should give you the closest place to donate blood. Every blood center in the country is coordinating efforts to get blood to NY. Blood is always in short supply and this will only make it more so. Keep in mind that any extra blood you donate has a good chance of staying in the local area also if NY gets enough blood so you're contributing to multiple areas. If you are over 18, weigh more than 110 lbs, and have no STD's, PLEASE GIVE BLOOD.
For those in Dallas, Carter Blood Center is conducting blood drives at their D/FW locations and at Reunion Arena (parking is free).
