[ESPN Classics] 1993 Western Conf. Semifinals Game 7 - HOU VS SEA

Just a heads up for anyone interested in watching some vintage Houston Rockets. It's on right now, just started at 4pm. It's interesting how similar both Rockets teams look, then and now, when their Centers are on the floor. The offensive set looks very similar to what the current Rockets are doing with Yao.

it's titled the "It should have been a home game game" by the Rockets. That's because the Rockets last game of the season ended with an overtime loss to the Spurs. Matt Bullard hit a trey to put the Rockets up 2. David Robinson tipped in a missed 3 pt attempt at the buzzer. Replays showed (and it was clearly evident without replays) that the tip in was waaaaaaaayyyyy after the buzzer, but the stupid refs counted the bucket and the Rockets lost the game.

That's why it should have been a win and the Rockets should have had homecourt advantage vs George Karl's Sonics. The home team won every game in that series. The Rockets could have gone on to play the Suns (and won) and faced the Bulls (and won) even though it would have been tough without Sam I Am....Dream was just a beast everywhere back that. The Bulls couldn't stop the Rockets, and MadMax was Jordan's best defender.

Thousands of Rockets fans watched the game at the Summit. Also, Dick Bavetta is reffing the game, and he already looks 80 years old lol....good ole Dick Bavetta.

Damn, that team had a serious lack of depth. Carl Herrera was just totally outmatched by any of Seattle's back ups...and he clanked too many free throws and had too many turnovers. Freakin Tree Rollins was Dream's backup and was already like 100 years old. Dream got tired running too much at Seattle's pace...which is Kenny Smith's fault. Thank Goodness we got Cassell later, b/c every time Smith tried to do anything other than shooting 3's, he hurt the team more than helped.

hakeem only has 20 pts right now.

but man, it's exciting to watch, even though i know the outcome and we lose.

but seeing robert horry hit that shot to put us up by two was awesome.

    it felt real good.
