Ok let me ask you guys to predict something. We will make the playoffs this year as long as we are reasonably healthy. Assuming the roster stays relatively the same and Bonzi gets back to form, which players on our roster will either:

    1) Perform at a higher level
    2) Perform at their average level
    3) Perform at a lower level (ie choke or be shutdown)

    My predictions:

Alston: Will perform at a lower level. He will choke and be horrible throughout the playoffs. Only thing he will do will do well is bring the ball upcourt and maybe not even that in a tense situation.

Head: Will perform at a higher level. Luther is tough to predict. He is a sophomore so he will make some mental mistakes and the pressure especially in tense situations just might be too much for him. But he has shown the ability to hit some big 3s in the regular season.

Wells: Will perform at a higher level. I think being a solid offensive player and a veteran will keep him poised under pressure. Also, look what he did last year against the Spurs.

Snyder: Will perform at a lower level. I haven't really seen much of his game, so I could be totally wrong about this. He doesn't have any significant playoff experience. His game is more of hard cuts and slashing to the basket which could be very valuable, but will the tightened up playoff defenses allow him to score like he would in the regular season?

Tmac: Will perform at a higher level. Nothing need to be said, except that I hope his back holds up during the playoffs, otherwise we have no chance of advancing. This will be one of his last chances to get past the 1st round.

Battier: Will perform at his average level. Battier is a solid player who doesn't really make any mistakes, but at the same time doesn't really bring much offensive firepower either. The main use for him in the playoffs in my mind would be to let Tmac rest a little more on defense by guarding one of the opposing teams better players.

Hayes: Will perform at an average level. Again, tough to tell with Hayes, he is more of an energy player/rebounder. I think his rebounding and energy might go up.

Juwan Howard: Will perform at a higher level. I know a lot of you will disagree, but I think Juwan is actually a pretty good big game player. I know he has the ability to step up his game when needed and is a veteran player. Look what he did after Tmac got injured last yr-became the 2nd leading scorer. He also brings more offense to the table than Chuck.

Yao: Will perform at a higher level. This year will be a good test to see how far Yao has come since the Mavs series. I think he will step it up in a big way.

All the other players I don't think will see much playing time.

the top four seeds might be spurs, dallas, suns and jazz, we might have trouble facing any one of them because t-mac will hurt his back, and we screwed

I'll rather think about it when we get to the playoff. Seem to be a little waste of time to think that far ahead in December.

So T-Mac will play the rest of the regular season to help us make the playoffs, but he will go down in the playoffs? What are you, a psychic?

Let's secure a playoff spot first.

And then from there it all depends on TMAC.

    It's that simple

    C'mon man...

Too early... You might post it after the All-star game. For now, I just hope the Rockets win as many game as they can.

Secure the Play-off spot, then we'll talk...
