As much as I want to see everyone booing Pippen when we hoop up Portland, I think that we should restrain ourselves. If we boo Pippen, then we will be no better than those Canadiens in Vancouver. I know you all thought those Canadiens were a bunch of morons(the newspapers sure as hell did) for booing Francis. Even though Steve says the reason he left Vancouver is because he wanted to be a point guard and they already had Mike Bibbly, you gotta admit that there probably were more reasons. I mean, if Miami had drafted him, I'm sure Francis wouldn't have left. Miami is an established team with a great coach, and I bet Francis would've stayed even though the Heat already have Tim Hardaway. Vancouver being sorry, and the very fact that Vancouver is in Canada must have had a big part of Francis's decision to leave Vancouver. With all due respect to Francis, he is as big of a punk(or nearly as big of a punk) as Pippen is. Even though I don't like Pippen much at all, I think that it's actually good that he wanted to leave. We got Kelvin Cato and Carlos Rogers for him. We thought that Walt would be a major part of our offense, but he has really slowed down as of late. But I'm sure that Blizzard will turn back into the Wizard sooner or later. If we could have kept Stacey Augmon, then we really would have had a good trade. You know Pippen isn't a leader and will never be one; he is mainly a role player. That being said, he wouldn't really have played the role of the "main man" like we envisioned him to when we got him. And plus if Pippen had stayed, then this season would have been our only realistic shot of winning the title. And Pippen would only have 2 or 3 years left in him. At least with this trade, we have a bunch of glorious years left. peace.

Methinks we'll all be happy if Quitten gets held to his season averages. Booing... might help put him below that. I'd be perfectly happy to see him play WORSE than he did last year on a team we're playing against. Poetic Justice... I say Boo his arse. Every time he gets the ball in his hands. Hell, every time it even LOOKS like he's about to get the ball... Do NOT let that man score above his average of last year, and definitely don't let him have a good game/blow out (which, despite our feelings, we all know he's capable of every once in a while). snowman Walt Williams....slowing down as of late? i wasn't aware the man ever got started. The Vancouver fans had every right to boo Francis. It's hard to believe that anyone could find a reason to not want to play anywhere in the NBA for the kind of money that Francis was set to make. I personally am sick of these guys crying like babies everytime they don't get their way. And Francis saying he didn't want to play the two. Although that didn't bother him in Maryland too much. Ohh, he's too far away from home? Well Houston isn't much closer and he's managed to move some family down here. I suppose he could've done the same thing in Vancouver. Couldn't have been the city itself or the people. I've been there and it's a terrific place and the people are great also. Everyone know the real reasons he didn't want to go to Vancouver. The taxes are too high and the team sucks. It will always suck because it's not properly managed. Although getting rid of Hill was a positive step. I mean look at the Rockets. They are wonderfully managed. Each and every player has his ass properly kissed before every game and practice Im sure. Do the Canadien fans have a right to be upset? Sure they do. Should they have thrown things on the floor at the players? No, probably not. Am I glad Francis didn't want to play there? HELL YES I AM!!! There loss is my gain. Besides, had we not gotten him someone else would've. Did Pippen get his way in Houston? No and he shouldn't have. What right did he have to question Rudy T who's been here with this club for years and years and even won a couple of championships. Of course he didn't get his way so he asked us to basically give him to LA and give LA a championship. Once again he didn't get his way so his next move was to personally attack Barkley which left us no choice but to trade him. Am I going to boo Pippen on Tuesday? HELL YES I AM!!! and it doesn't even bother me a bit that the Portland fans are going to be sitting at home thinking what a bunch of morons. This is the very least of what Quitten deserves.

Cool, guys! I made sure I got tickets to this game solely for the purpose of booing Pippen. It could only be better if Chuck were here to observe it. I thought Vancouver was really rude for throwing things - people get hurt that way and it is unacceptable. But booing is the fans' right. Vancouver, Portland, Houston fans can boo all they want and it is acceptable. "Pippen Sucks". Saying "Scottie Sucks" seems too friendly. What Pippen did was worse than Stevie. Actually, there is no comparison even though some say there is. Stevie told them beforehand he did not want to go there. Vancouver drafted him anyway. Pippen stuck his hands out to get a big contract here and then ran out when he couldn't handle the job, and blamed it on Barkley, his biggest ally in this town. PIPPEN REALLY DOES SUCK! DIRT BAG!
And alaskansnowman - who cares what Vancouver or Portland thinks? If you remember Portland booed when Chuck Barkley got the ball or was at the foul line. He hasn't even done anything to them. Vancouver has a right to be upset. They can't get a break. But Francis didn't do anything wrong. Pippen's surrender was too negative to even compare it to Francis' cold shoulder to Vancouver or Barkley's demand to be traded from Phoenix in my opinion. BOO all you want, guys. The only thing that will give our city an unwanted image is to throw things. It probably could be called assault if someone gets hurt and you get caught. Houston fans are classier than Vancouver fans. Please don't throw things. Wear your voices out, however!
Can anyone say whether Barkley will be there? If he is, me and about 10 other guys in the upper deck will be chanting "Bar--kley" every time Pippen gets the ball. Let's not forget that Cato also has something to prove...namely, Wallace cannot score over him....just like the last game...go Cato prove that you will be remembered as the Blockbuster player (pun intended) of that trade.

TEX: LOL ROXHEAD: There is a HUGE difference between the inflammatory comments that Quitten made about the Rox, Barkley and the fans and Franchise not wanting to play in Vancouver. If you apply for a job and you're asked to move to the Siberian tundra, you have a right to express your displeasure. The fact that the Rockets organization got involved and Francis was able to get traded was his good luck and nothing more. If we still had Pippen we would have started the year with Charles, Hakeem, Fancis, and scottie. We would be winnig more and losing less. We would not have Walt Williams, and Steve Francis would have a mentor. Scottie screwed us hard, we could really use his talent right now. He's a real jerk.
Alaskan, I think the reason that people said the fans in Vancouver were classless was the fact that they threw debris on the court. I was actually impressed that they came out and booed so vehemently. It showed they are knowledgable basketball fans and they have enough fire to do it. Some of the signs people had were pretty creative. I think if Houston fans didn't boo it would show we just don't care anymore instead of proving we have more class. ------------------ Rockets When?
