One really awesome thing about Tmac

He really cares for this team. I remember two years ago, when Stromile Swift and Derek Anderson were deciding on which team to go to, Tmac called them personally, sold them on the idea of a championship season and eventually got them signed with the Rockets for less than their market values. Of course, those signings turned out to be total disasters. However, you can't fault Tmac's effort for making it happen, and if anything, Tmac should get major kudos for doing this.

This year, when the standoff between JVG and Bonzi Wells dragged on, Tmac was the person who called Bonzi and asked him to break the ice with the coach. It turned out to be a great move. Now Bonzi is contributing, and Tmac would get major credit for this.

In my opinion, Tmac isn't a vocal leader. However, he does care for his ball club and is willing to go the extra mile and represent the organization in getting players to play here. Have you heard Lebron, Kobe or Wade calling players to come to their teams? Tmac is doing that for the Rockets, and I think what he has done is great.

This is Tmac's third year with the Rockets, and he's done nothing but great things for the team. Before he came here, he somehow got the bad images for being lazy and selfish. However, during his tenure with the Rockets so far, he's done more than enough to warrent people's respect.

He's plagued by injuries and maybe depression, but for things that are within his control, he's done great. He's a great player on the court, he genuinely cares about his team, city and charity work, and he married his highschool sweetheart. I haven't heard any non-sense drug, guns and infidelity stuff that are associated with many NBA players from Tmac. I think he's one of the few really good guys and players in this league. Personally, I feel blessed to be a fan of his team, and so should everyone.

Oh, Tmac, get better with your back and mental state. I can't wait to see you on the court with Yao and dominate again. We definitely miss you!

i agree, tmac is a major contributer out there on and off the court. i just wished he wasn't hurting right now because with him in and bonzi progressing we'll be a team to watch after the all star break when our team finally gets used to each other...sura would just be a major plus so rafer doesn't have to play more than 30 minutes a game.

I miss this guy so much, we need him, we can win some games without him, but playoff series, no way!
When T-Mac comes back, rafer will be better too.

    Yea but according to DeAleck:

I never heard about that. I heard about T-Mac lobbying to be a Rocket, but not telling him to "break the ice".

Nice to see somebody trying to put a positive spin on his situation. Good to hear. Plus, I have a funny feeling if the playoffs started tomorrow it would take a lot more than a few back spasms to keep him off the floor and out of the "KILL MAVERICKS" playoff mindset he was in last time around.

tmac should start cursing like Yao, he's not as badass. All he does is yell in the lane, he should be like "F**KIN GOT RAPED REFS!!!"(not around kobe though)

Excellent post. Nice to see some positive fans who are not hating on T-Mac like it seems many are on here. Get well soon!

    Haha...that's funny!

I thought Tmac is traveling with the team, but I never saw him on the bench during Rockets games, just wondering why?

Glad to see such a post after reading too many posts speaking bad of him and about asking him to be traded.
I believe that Tmac is more eager to win than many others. He will return to the court soon. God bless his back!

Intelligence reported to me that T-mac was with LA's most coveted Back specialist.

i think we fans cannot be in denial, tmac cannot play like kobe/wade any more,

but it's OK, if he can play a role somewhat like DRoB, Yao approaches TD level, with right role players, we can achieve what spurse has done.

It is sensible to speculate a positive influence from Tmac on Bonzi.

Sometimes, i suspect that I like Tmac and Yao more than the club.
Always, I'm sure I like Tmac's personality more than Kobe's. He's not soft! He's just too caring as a person.

Get well, Mac, you are trully missed and you deserve a complete and glorified career.
