Ok. I just finished building my comp, but I'm having trouble getting the Power LED indicator to work. The plug coming from the case for the LED has 3 pins, but there's only 2 pins available on the motherboard. Anyone know what I'm talking about and how to resolve this?
Does the 3-pin connector only have 2 wires going into it? If yes, look at the connector and see if it's "wire, space, wire" or is it "wire, wire, space"? I know people that cut off the connector and put a 2-hole connector on it. Or you may actually be able to pull one of the wires off by lifting a metal tab on the back of it and replacing the wire back into the empty slot (this way you'll have the two wires next to each other if they're separated by an empty hole right now).
well guess what. i tried pulling one of the wires out, and I ended up totally ripping the wire in two. damn damn damn damn. I guess my warranty is void now (or maybe the company wont notice if i take it back)
I should've added : "Don't try this unless you know what you're doing". ... sorry man, but I'm laughing my ass off...hahahaha
See if you can find somebody that will splice a new connector onto the ripped wire... I'm sure you can live without an LED light, though, right?
i actually worked very carefully for about 20 minutes. I pulled reasonable hard, but not TOO hard, and it just snapped. bleh. actually, this is not the case i ordered. they gave me the wrong case. maybe they'll be forced to take it back hahaha
Just send DOD the bill for the new case. actually claim it screwed up the entire system and it's all his fault and he should buy you a new computer. I am sure Lhutz would represent you What ever happened to Lhutz? Is he banned again?
I am sueing DOD for the full amount of $36.95 for replacement of the case. I hereby summon LHutz to represent me.
Man, if you get LHutz to represent you, you'll end up owning me money! If it makes you feel any better, the LED's on all my machines are working...
