How much is AI's salary and how long is his contract? If Sixers are eager to dump him and re-build, now is the (only?) to dump tmac's contract.

All we need right now is a new point guard. Tonight game which I think is winable, but Rafer just continued to turn the ball over and over. We shouldn't trade Mike James for this guy.

    Cut T-Mac some slack.

You cann't doubt the guy's heart, his body is not something he can control.

In fact every time he says he feels 100%, I cringe.

Why ? We know he has chronic back problem, he is never what he was.

As a Knick fan, I would gladly see a Francis for JVG trade :D ::dreams of seeing the Knicks play some semblance of defense again::

I can only see 3 guys in this league ... Lebron, Kobe or Wade
Trading T-Mac and some other players for one of them ... I don 't believe we can! :(

You people need to get it into your head that tmac isnt going to be traded for AI. Like theyre going to want Webber II on their team, another often injured player with a huge contract.

This is just another overreaction to another dissapointing loss. If we trade tmac, its going to be far from equal value. Look at what the nets got for VC. Huge contract + doubts about durability doesnt seem like a player id be willing to trade for.

With that said, Im going to give Tmac till the end of the season to give up on him, Tmac, if healthy, are one of the few players who compliment yao perfectly.

The problem is rafer. he dsent get noone involved into offense. he's mentality is me, me, meee. he needs to attack the rack. draw some fouls. get bonzi some shots. not sit on the primeter and yankup some of the worst bricks seen to mankind.

IMO, Yao's best years are 26-30, I'm a chinese, I know our eastern people will get weak soon. If T-Mac could not be healthy, the title will be a day dream.
The point is that we must have a healthy T-Mac for the nest 4-5 years, or we find another guy as efficient as T-Mac to take his responsibility.
I'm a T-Mac fan, but I'm a Rox fan and Yao fan, we must be rational.

Well, here's a desperation thought. We can always go back to the Knick well:

T-Mc, Head and a retiring Sura for Stephon Marbury and Channing Frye. The Knicks get a star, a good 3-point shooter and cap relief. The Rockets get a PF with size and skills and, despite the headaches, a PG who can shoot and pass.

    New York Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing
    Channing Frye
    6-11 C from Arizona
    12.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 0.8 apg in 24.2 minutes
    Stephon Marbury
    6-2 PG from Georgia Tech
    16.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 6.4 apg in 36.6 minutes
    Incoming
    Bob Sura
    6-5 from Florida State
No games yet played in 2005/06
    Tracy McGrady
6-8 SF from Mount Zion Christian Academy (HS)
    24.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 4.8 apg in 37.1 minutes
    Luther Head
    6-3 PG from Illinois
    8.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.7 apg in 28.9 minutes
Change in team outlook: +4.6 ppg, +1.1 rpg, and +0.3 apg.

    Houston Trade Breakdown

Change in team outlook: -4.6 ppg, -1.1 rpg, and -0.3 apg.

    Successful Scenario
Due to New York and Houston being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Houston had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    ^^

trust me, we don't want marbury. his game is declining. he's a cancer. he's only a slight upgrade over rafer at this point, but at least rafer isn't a cancer.

no kidding. i get tired of the frakin whiners on here. yes past 3 games were frustrating, but it's not like a situation with pippen where the guy refused to be a team player and produce. McGRADY IS EFFIN' HURT!!! HELLOOOOOOO!!! i'm sure if he had it his way, he'd be out there. some of y'all make it sound like it's his fault. why don't y'all go out on the court and take on a kobe bryant for 40 plus minutes with a back that shoots up pain. he's not out of shape, he didn't pull a muscle because he didn't stretch before a game. it's back spasm for crying out loud.

    don't be so obtuse...

the purpose of this thread isn't to blame tmac for our losses, it's to state the (((painfully))) obvious fact that tmac's back will never allow him to be the player we need to compliment yao, and ultimately will never be able to lead us to a championship.

You are a moron  . Yao's best years may indeed be 26-30, but it's not because "eastern people get weak sooner than others." If anything, they get stronger and into better shape LATER in life than their racial counterparts.

I'm chinese, and I saw Yao's best years are still to come. 30-36 I'd say. Jabbar won his MVP at a grand age of 37. Lol, it doesn't matter if you are eastern or western, it only matters how you play on the court.

Yes, blame everything all on T-Mac. It's his fault he has a bad back, Tracy should have known earlier and ask to trade for a better back.

Blame? No. It's not like McGrady is culpable somehow for having a bad back. But it does make him a liability.
