ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Lakers 12/15/2006

Hate to say it, but this one's gonna be ugly. Yao cannot come back as strong tonight and the rest of the team will be a little flat. Bonzi will get minutes like last night and have his best game ad a Rocket so far, but we get the L.

I'm afraid 3 straight lose. TMAC might not play. Yao played too many minutes yesterday.

 

An easy loss, the game will be over in the first 5 minutes.

Bench Brigade comes in and hands our tired starters a W. JL3, Snovak, Scotty spread the perimeter. Billy drives and kicks out. Bonzi plays the low post.

 

Hopefully we can get a moral victory in that:
1. Yao plays consistently well with no long stretches of no production.
2. Head scores 20+ points again.
3. Score is within 10.

That would make me happy.

 

I dont have any hope for this game. The lakers kept the game real close against the Mavs in Dallas the day after they played us. Kobe wont shoot as poorly as last time and Luke might ball us up again.

 

It is no longer how we stop Kobe, It is about stopping Luke Walton or Brian Cook. Will we do that?

If Luther shows the same form as in Golden State and If Bonzi can put some number- say 10+, this is an even game.

 

A must win, to shut up all these Lakers fans, that've been posting.

 

This is going to be an ugly game, with the Rockets losing big. Think about it, the Rockets have no TMac, and Yao played 41 minutes last night in a loss to the Warriors. I'd be happy if we score over 85 points.

 

Why so much whining around this board? I say Rockets by 5pts.

IIRC, yao on average scores 6 fewer points on the latter half of b2b. So if he can score 32 and grab 12rb I will be happy. Will Bonzi have a breakout game?

 

Too many pessimistic poster here. Loss to one decent team does not means another loss to another decent team. We got opportunity. But Coach need to be smart, use all the tools he has to win the game.

 

Did 610 or 790 actually confirm Mac is out tonight? I know the Chron said he was doubtful? We are going to need more from Bonzi tonight, Head is just way too small for Kobe

 

bonzi will be in decent form tonite.
