    im proud of all you...
    i got a 720p sony 50inch for $1199!!!
its freaking sweat. I think 720p looks smoother than 1080i.
1080p is the best but there's really not much that is 1080p (bluray/hd dvd)
    regular hd is 720p/1080i

you can only tell a difference if u have a set of 60inches or above since the pixels are so small.

I got this tv a little less than a month ago at Conn's for just over $2,100.

I am actually pretty dissapointed to see I bought at such a good deal, because Conn's has the 30 day price match thing.

Anyways, yes, HD in this tv does blow your mind away. Sports in regular broadcasting = crap.

I'm thinking about getting the HD accessory for the 360, but haven't pulled the trigger yet (waiting on Christmas bonus!).

My pops that the exact same TV, with a free samsung stand, free delivery, and no taxes on www.crutchfield.com. He ended up paying about 1900.00 for everything. No interest until 2009

Anyone looking for an HD, i recommend to go to this site. Good customer service, and good deals.

My brother had a problem like that, except with NBC.
Call in to TimeWarner or whoever, let them know - it might be a bad connection. If it's just that one channel, it could be a problem on the cable provider's side.

Thanks! Called them and they said they were "doing work" in my area....apparently a lot of people don't even have a signal. So I'm lucky. :D

I bought a Panasonic 52" LCD Projection TV for $999.

Oh man....best use of a thousand bucks ever. It has completely rejuvenated my living room. The picture just looks incredible. I turned on Discovery HD, Sunrise Earth Europe was on and I just sat there mesmerized for like 15 minutes. I've also discovered that there are all these really cool concerts and performances that broadcast on HDNet and inHD, and being the music nut that I am, I can't get enough of them (try Chick Corea in a live trio performance in New York. Whooo.)

I don't know why I waited this long. HDTV rocks. And FSN Houston really needs to get their act together and purchase some HD equipment, because I'm tired of seeing my Rockets in low quality broadcast. That sucks. The Celtics and Wolves get all their home games in HD, why can't we?

This is the first Rockets game I've seen in HD. I'm glad it's a good one so far. :)
