first off f@#k b.davis, go get your horse teeth fixed you b*stard!! now that i have my anger out of me i have a serious point. what is the problem with the rockets when t-mac is out, i am sick of loosing(when he is not in the lineup). good teams win without their superstars, WIN, we are nearly incapable of winning w/o t-mac based on our record last year and what has transpired thus far. so my question is, wtf is the problem....we have a 2 superstar team why cant we finish? i am sick of this nonsence, either our team sux (which is not my opinion) or our coachs scheem is sh@tty (my opinion) all i know is i am sick of counting on t-mac to win. (cuz that is obviously walking on thin ice) WIN A F'IN GAME W/O T-MAC PLEASE!!!

    horse teeth? lol :D

we have a better and younger team this season. Without TMAC I think we can stay around 50% win PCT, especially if we can jump out to sizeable early leads

TMAC occupies 17M salary space. Our starters have a total of less than 25M salaray. This kind of squad are not going to win you many games in the NBA.

    Relax.

He's only been gone for two games. We happened to lose those two games.

We played horribly against the Lakers and almost won that game. Had Yao played anywhere near what he did tonight, we would have won that game.

Tonight, we played a great game. There are many factors that could be used as a reason to why we lost, but the point is, this game was very winnable without McGrady. A slow start, a few stupid fouls, some missed shots, and one great shot later, and we lose a close one.

Obviously everyone's gonna be upset that we lost such a close game. Especially with the Herculean effort by Yao and Luther.

All I have to say is this: if you were to ask two people whether or not George Bush was a good president, and they said yes, does that mean that he is in fact a great president?

    this is an easy question.

the rockets only have 2 offensive options (yao/tmac). with tmac out, it's pretty damned obvious where the ball is going.

the opponents zone yao, making him go 1-on-5 and dare ANYONE else to beat them. without anyone else who can create thier own shot, we lose.

luther and rafer step up thier scoring by means of yao kicking the ball out of the post. that extra point production is what keeps the game close. then down the stretch there is no one that can create thier own shot. we end up losing close ones.

They did win with TMac out in the 4th qtr in WAS, and with TMac out in the 2nd qtr vs. CLE.

Missing him the entire, game, though is a bit different.

Blame TMac for his crackhead shots all you want, but at the very least he takes some pressure off Yao Ming on offense.

Also, he and Battier are the only perimeter size the team has with injured Snyder and fat Bonzi. With TMac injured, too, there's a lot more burden on Battier.

Good thing he's traveling with the team, though, he should be back soon.

    Couldn't agree more!

Tonight's game was very winnable. Had Bonzi Wells benched these last two games, we would have won them. I don't think JVG should play him at all considering how out of shape he is....and what's up with V-Span's shooting?

JLIII should have given some time tonight...his shooting has been fantastic.

Outside of Yao, T-Mac, and Luther Head, I wouldn't trust the ball in anybody's hand..including JVG's favorite, Shane Battier

Speaking of Battier, what's up with his game recently? He seems to be regressing, especially his shooting.

i'm pretty sure that, at least for this year, us not winning w/o t-mac is purely coincidental.

we have the skills... just poor execution sometimes... or maybe.. over-execution.

t-mac gave teams a surprise sometimes on the offensive end.. w/o him, teams know exactly what JVG is going to do. that's what we lost in t-mac..

someone that JVG allowed to use the element of surprise.

    davis stealled our win....
our team should do better defense when yao is on his rest for minutes.
today we did badly in defense when yao was on rest as we wasted our 12 leading points ...

JVG has big share on this loss:
    - A good team should not let its star play the first couple of minutes in the 4th quarter
    - ~30 secs with 4 pts lead, you should able to image GS will take a quick 2, where is the defense? only cost GS 5 secs to score and have 29 secs left?

It's not because we do not have a good coach, but we don't have a good boss. When he signed Gundy, he could have signed Phil or Larry. If he spent more, we would have benches like Mavericks. If he paid as much as Knicks, we could have 3 consecutive champs.
