He's hit that shot countless times. "Slightly out of position"? It's not like he has to be at a specific spot on the court to hit it. He shoots them from all over. And I don't know what spacing has to do with it. He had a clean look at the basket. Maybe it was nerves or maybe he was tired. But it's a shot I expect him to hit the vast majority of the time.

If Yao Ming has 38 points and 18 rebounds, we should beat any team in the league.

If you are willing to blame this loss solely on Yao, then you need to stop posting.

    ditto.

Push the ball and noone cant finish. It ends up Yao running back and forth on the court and burns out Yao.

The Rockets out rebounded the Warriors by 20 and should be able to walk the ball to the front court and control the tempo of the game. The Rockets have all the tools to control the tempo of the game. Never can understand or underestimate mediocrity.

    JVG bonehead moves:

-Taking Yao out and calling time out when we were groving with a 12 pt lead.
    - Having Spanoullis, Bonzi on the court at the same time. Both can shoot worth ****.
-Having Head throw in the inbound with 1.2 seconds. Why in the hell does team's best 3 pt threat throw in the ball. If Rockets were going for the tie its understandble. But for the win, hell no.

Guys, not trying to say much, but JVD is not really a good coach for game plan, and adjustment when playing.

I could only imagine if Phil Jackson is our head coach, and how good we're going to be.

Wednesday game showed that Phil Jackson is the master and knows what the hell he's doing, and unfortunately, I expect the same thing tomorrow.

    As for TMAC, no opinion.

In the beginning of the third quarter,we outscored GS 21to 7.Nothing is going for GS,we missed a few shots and JVG called a time out. After the timeout,GS outscored us 16 to 7.Good job JVG .This happened quite often with JVG.I just don't understand the logic and timing of his timeout .

For all the JVG ass kissers out there, please prove me that he could take these Rox to a higher level. He is an average but great coach. I hate JVG cuz Rox could be a lot better under someone eles.

yeah expect that for a while because i don't see how we win tomorrow with yao as gassed as he was at the end of this game. it's early in the season but if we still want to get home court in the first round we needed games like the one tonight.

that said, it's funny how some people only post after losses just to get in a van gundy rip.

Yeah I have to be at work at 7 but I had to open a bottle of wine myself and now this loss doesn't feel so bad. I think I'm gonna need many bottles of wine on this road trip without T-Mac :D

there is a thing called defense, nellie had everyone playing yao in and had the other shooters covered with no one guarding the inbounder. i dont know with 1.2 if you can pass, catch and shoot the ball. remember last year there was 5.8 left on the clock during the player. last year there were a bit more options other than inbound catch and shoot. unfortunately the one thing nellie wanted happened letting yao catch and shoot a long jumper. he would have had a better shot if he caught it facing up rather than doing a turnaround 3.

tough loss, more than likely a huge loss tomorrow, lakers play real well at home and yao looked very winded in the fourth missing a lot of shots he usually makes (i dont mean at the end but during parts of the fourth some easy jump hooks)

as for the poster who said luther replaced tracy you couldnt be further from the truth. sure luther scored maybe as many points as tracy would, but you cant just add in the defense, size, and most importantly play making ability tracy brings to the court. under a minute when yao "traveled" (it didnt look like it to me but couldnt tell from angle) there would be no need for that post up, would have been a pick and roll with tracy, same with the last possesion. they only way we dont lose by 15+ tomorrow is if kobe has the worst game he has had this season and tracy plays. both of which are very unlikely to happen.

It's really strange why yao need to go out and send back the ball. Yao is already exhausted and error-prone at that moment, he can set up a screen, but his mobility is near zero at that time. However every other rockets seems shuning the ball. JVD want to repeat last year's feat, but GSW prepared, they look closely at head. Anyway, I thought this game is exciting and play-off like.

Question: Will Tmac be playing tomorrow? If not, count tomorrow as a loss. Kwame/Bynum are too much for Yao on back 2 back games.

I agree that Van Gundy didn't do a great job tonight, but I would still trust him especially in the playoffs. Remember how our team was so prepared for the Dallas series, we'll only get better with Bonzi in the mix and Head having a more meaningful role on the team.

I know this forum is to post our frustrations , thats what I use it for, but bottom line is that we actually played well and lost. This is the samr team we slaughtered just a week ago !! T-Mac does so much and without him we just can't seem to find a way to win. The bottom line is that if we want to be an Elite team we have to win without T-Mac. The Spurs won without Duncan for several weeks last season or season before. The Lakers use to win without Kobie...etc....The Great teams do it. Now for tomorrow night Yao looks like he can barely walk...Back-to Backs kill us !! We need T-Mac :(
