I think Timmy P said centerfield is up for grabs between Burke, Lane, and Pence. Maybe second half of the season.

This actually looks like they are clearing room for Biggio to get his 3000th hit, and Burke to play every day.

Then move Burke to 2b and put Hunter in CF the 2nd half of the season as you have said.

It's always a good idea to get rid of your talented Centerfielder to clear room for a lesser player because you don't have the stones to play him at second infront of you aging star

Willy T is talented? Burke is a lesser player?

Jeez... you sound like Boras now.

Colorado might just be what Willy needs. He might hit .295 up there and 50 of them *not* be bunts.

That said, he freaking sucked at the plate here. His defense was great, but his offense was horrible for a position out of which offense is expected.

Some idiot called SR610 the other day moaning that the Astros traded away "our tablesetter". A "tablesetter" with a .300 OBP. Priceless.

i'm just anxious to see what this pence guy can do. hopefully biggio stays at second and burke plays right.

    lamb - 3rd
    everett - SS
    biggio - 2nd
    berkman - 1st
    lee - LF
    pence - CF
    burke - RF

sounds about right... who am i missing? who's gonna be our catcher..

btw. that line-up looks pretty dangerous.

I'm interested to see the lineup we put out there in 08 when Pence has some big league experience under his belt. Will it look something like this?

    2B - Burke
    RF - Scott
    1B - Berkman
    LF - Lee
    CF - Pence
    3B - Mo
    SS - Everett
    C - Hopefully not Ausmus

That could be a really solid 1-6.

I dont think it was a good decision either. I dont understand what the big deal about Jason Jennings is. Last year he was 9-13 last year and hi His ERA is almost 4. I think Hirsh had a lot of potential and he and willy T are still young. If they were going to make a trade I would have rather had Jon Garland. He could have been one of those decent AL pitchers who play great in the NL
