So did they show OJ? :)
Awesome set, but I already have every final game from 94 and 95 originally recorded VHS. And no, they're for sale.

I'm getting this for Christmas, although Circuit City doesn't have them, as was mentioned earlier, and you have to get them online (I think!). Can't wait, because what I still have on VHS is in terrible condition. I hope they do '95!

You can't, actually. The chapter stops are at the quarters.

Regardless, this set is the first time the footage from the "OJ Game" has been released to the public full-screen, sans the Brokaw voice-over.

    *includes special featurettes:

"Head Coach Mario Elie - The heart of a champion" and

Special bonus footage of the press conferences in two consecutive seasons, and actual film of the brothers Mr. Van Gundy "spending more time with their families."

Incidentally, I hope regular DVD is not still the format in nine years time...

Do I HAVE to be a Costco member to shop there? If not, anyone know the additional fee/percentage to buy? I mean, at 29.99, I don't care if it's a 20 dollar fee...but still, just like to know.

Argh. I don't want to spend 80 bucks on the DVDs if I don't have to.

I got mine in the mail today from Deep Discount DVD. Here's a brief review:

First of all, I had two floaters in the set. Discs 5 and 7. I watched both and thankfully they played fine. Just be warned that they come in those 2-disc thinpaks which are prone to having loose DVDs inside.

As for the box set, it contains all 7 Finals games. The intros to the games were cut. It begins with the tipoff. There are 4 chapters on each disc, one for each quarter. Disc 8 which contains Clutch City has no chapter search. No postgame interviews either, save for Game 7 and the championship celebration at midcourt. But that one also cuts out after Mad Max's interview.

As for the infamous "O.J. game", no we don't get to see them cutaway to the Bronco chase. We do however get a good chunk of the 2nd half of Game 5 sans any commentary from Marv Albert or Matt Goukas. The only sound I could hear aside from the players and crowd was someone clearing his throat and humming. Around the 7-minute mark in the 4th quarter, Marv comes back on and references the O.J. incident and Tom Brokaw's coverage of it.

The quality of the video is decent at best. A fair amount of noise in the picture(just look at the score each time it flashes on the screen). But it's probably the best we're gonna get from WB and the NBA. I don't see them shelling out to remaster each game in HD.

And finally the answer to the question I know all of you are asking. No, unfortunately the Kathy Mattea video for "Walking Away a Winner" was NOT included with Clutch City on Disc 8. Better hang onto your VHS copies. ;)

LOL! Yeah, does it come with the OJ chase from that night during the Finals!? I remember that moment. :D

But for real guys, why not the 95' championship!? Put both in one big ass set for us Rockets fans to relive again!
