How is that spin? Your spin is right out of a Carl Rove handbook. Juwan is finally playing better, and that it is further proof that he's no good? Then say "everyone knows he is bad" is taking your personal opinion and stating it a Bill O'Reilly in your face factual statement. If you say it louder, it must be true. *yawn* Give it rest.

Just be happy that he's playing better and leave it at that. Geez. The world will not suddenly turn into puppies and kisses should Juwan Howard die. Do we really need to debate Juwan's professionalism? The Rockets are winning and I'm happy ...and apparently you're not.

Let's see. I began the post by saying Juwan has been playing better last couple of games and I even gave a good reason why that might be. And then I asked how that might constitute professionalism on Juwan's part, while not criticising his play.

Then you come around, all defensive about Juwan as always, and say I was trying to *prove* Juwan is no good. And I am the one spinning? *laugh*

Since you insist on bringing up Juwan's play, Juwan Howard is bad.... Really bad. No amount of your denial is going to change that. It is a fact. The fact that he is still getting minutes tells how serious our troubles at PF position is. Look at the numbers, look at the games, and look at Juwan's history. Juwan's career does not lie.

LOL! Why should I? I am free to question him just as you are free to continue your Juwan love fest. He is playing better because his feelings got hurt. Sad part is it is enough to get by against weaker teams for now but when we play stronger teams he will be exposed again. As usual.

Why not? Since most people come to defend Juwan based on his *professionalism* and *class*, why cant I question his change of attitude when he got benched? Again, you never answered that. Seems counter-professional, does it not?

BTW, Classy people dont go around stealing sunglasses especially when they have made millions. :D

LOL! You are accusing me of spinning? Classic!!

Yeah, I am not happy that the Rockets are winning because I question Juwan's professionalism in a thread about *gasp* JUWAN!!

Cant spin it any better than you do. :p

At the zoo, its common to see signs stating "please dont feed the bears."

Similarly in GARM, there should be a sign stating "please dont quote the trolls."

yah juwan's been solid recently, but pf is still our weakness. It sure is a positive sign to see juwan finally grabbing some offensive boards and getting his j back. Hayes' been struggling so it's a positive sign to see howard steppin up, but against the likes elite pf like kg, boozer, td and amare.... that's a different story

Any current Rocket player that plays hard and makes solid contribution to the team's success deserves props. Personal history and problems that are unrelated to the Rockets should not be used against a player who has put those things bebind him. I like what Juwan has been doing the past few weeks on the court for the Rockets and I cheer for him. The only thing debatable wrt Juwan is whether we can find a better performing PF at Juwan's price. I am not a capologist and loath to be one, so I'll leave that to others.

Juwan has been rebounding very well despite nothing in his past suggesting he could rebound. He still makes a horrible percentage of shots, but doesn't seem to be shooting as much. He's been okay as a backup this season and done better than Battier so far at the 4.

Good Job I hate it when these "Fans" say stuff like "get rid of that guy" and C-rap like that, the only thing is we have Padgett as a 3 point threat(when he finds his shot he's like a robot)

    what shameless howard hate.

he is an easy target to ridicule, but people just cannot accept that he does some things well for this team. And like it or not, the rox need him to be a contributing member for the rockets to do well.

I was at the game Sat night and there was a girl in front of me wearing a Juwan Howard Bullets jersey. She was a Wizzards fan, but also cheered for Juwan every time he had the ball. She said something like, "He's soooo fne!" when he was shooting free throws.

I wonder if he knows he has Simplex II??? :D

I like Juwan. I think in the first few games that he got pt, he was trying to figure out where his role was on the team this year. He has figured it out now and that's why we see him being more successful. I love that he is doing well and hope that it continues.

I hate the idea of trading anyone on this team (though I would like Bonzi to work out his issues and stay but if he can't he's the only one I would say use as trade bait) The main rotation is working well, and there's that saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

As time goes on, he will get all of his confidence back and those jumpers he's missing will start to fall regularly.

He does need to play well for the Rockets, indeed. And I root for him to play well as much as anyone. But the sad reality is that Juwon wasn't even a main rotation player on a team where the starting PF is an undersized undrafted 2nd year player. And the only other PF are a 2nd round rookie and an end-of-bench guy. His offensive skills have deteriated from being an automatic 20ppg a night to a guy who can't even hit a 15-foot jumper and bricks consistenly in the post. He does some things well. But he's horrible at many other things.

Right now, Juwan's a good rebounder and a decent defender for the JVG system. I sincerely doubt teams care more about him than even Chuck No-Range Hayes on offense at this point.

By the way, if anyone really cares at this point, the Nets called Houston about Juwan Howard. They don’t even like the guy that much – don’t like his contract, actually – but he’s available, he can still play a little, and they thought he might be the kind of four you can plug in and get some numbers from. Maybe they talk about him again, maybe not. The organization is split on him, probably because he makes $6.4M, with $6.9 and $7.4 coming up. Newark Star-Ledger
