Nobody is 'falling off'. Not anyone that had a strong tie to the team anyway. A lot of Texans fans have a right to be pissed, and should be pissed. We give them the benefit of the doubt and see it blow up in our faces, it's going to piss us off. I'm sure as hell not going to sit here and smile and be sunshine and roses when it's clear we keep ****ing up. I don't do it with the Rockets. I'm not going to do it with the Texans.
Oh, you bet your ass I'm pissed about the Texans. I'm sure as hell not happy that Carr hasn't developed, or that our running game is worse than a I-AA college team's. However, it doesn't mean I'm going to stop being a Texans fan. 5 years is absolutely nothing compared to some other long-suffering fanbases, and it'll be that much sweeter when the team actually accomplishes something.
Yeah but the Arizona Diamondbacks won the World series within 5 years of their existence. So the Texans obviously suck if they can't win it all in 5 years.
No, people become fans when a team starts entertaining. There are 3 ways to build a fan base: 1. Win 2. Be exciting to watch 3. Cater to your potential fans The Texans have failed on all three counts.
