Out 10-12 weeks and he was out three weeks ago. I think the best scenario is he is back in late January.
Stop making useless threads. no matter how badly you people want tracy to fail and be injured, it wont work. he'll be back for the lakers game.
I like Battier. But when we are talking about "replacing" what Tmac does offensively, I dont see Battier doing it. Nor do I see Battier breaking down defenses to create open shots. The guys that have a chance are Alston, Head and Vspan. Last night against the Wizards Head showed that he is potentially up for the challenge hitting some big 3pt shots and driving and creating a great shot opportunity for Yao for a slam. But I am still worried. I dont have faith that any of those guys can do it consistantly. To me Alston, Head are more catch and shoot guys. Vspan is probably the only guy on the roster other than Tmac that can actually drive to create opportunities. But he still is playing VERY hesitantly, because of JVG. This team STILL needs to trade for a 3rd scorer for situations EXACTLY like this.
Sending Out an S.O.S. Sending Out an S.O.S. Mr. Wells, ahem. I believe the time for you to get your attitude in check is now. Our oft-spasm'd star is ailing early again this season, and we could sure use some help. Put aside your differences with the coach (nevertheless keep in mind that he is, and will always be right) and come help us win. That is, after all why you came here...? To play for a winner? To help a good team get to the next level...? We all know Bonzi did not come here for the money. He came here to play a role on a hard working, defense first, half court team; where his post up beefy guard skills could be on display. By displaying those skills, his hopes laid in increasing his FA value while in Houston, looking ahead to next summer's FA market. It doesn't take a genious to see that his antics up to now have decreased his value; and the time for him to take a big step towards reversing that trend is now. Bonzi, you must realize that Yao can do it by himself now, but he could sure use your help.
Amen, and I'm not even religious! I'm still holding hope that Bonzi comes back soon. I think we'd all be suprised at how much he helps this team.
If they don't, Novak may have a chance to get comfortable. Earlier, Novak looked confident. Now Steve knows he'll get limited minutes so he doesn't look good out there. If Steve can get comfortable, we know he can be deadly. Imagine having Steve and Head on the court playing well along with Yao. Our inside/out game would decimate people. ...but we still need somebody that can create their own shot.
Bonzi if you get in shape and get ready now before the playoffs. I will take you to a buffet and we can go get on some hoe_.
I still think if the team makes Bonzi feel he is an essential part of a potential championship team, he will change his attitude.
I was at a Rocket's fan focus group and the marketing guy said it would be MID January on Snyder- NOT late January. That was much earlier than I thought. Apparently, he is not that far from playing. The guy saying this seemed really confident and he is an insider. FWIW
